Not sure if you're not from the US, joking, or trolling.

Police are by and large aligned with the right wing, in fact, this is intentional: the right-wing needs a paramilitary, and the police fit that nicely. Which is why $ billions of military gear has been flowing into police departments for decades.

As someone who was in the Portland protests in 2020, there were unmarked vans of paramilitary looking people grabbing protestors at night. We weren't sure if they were right-wing yahoos, trump thugs, or police.

Basically: protesting is "legal" but the police control what is legal and have all kinds of qualified immunity to pretty much do what they want to you. It gets very fascist very quickly.

Legal advice from three lawyer friends is: stay away from protests.

LORA is a such a painfully low bitrate the best you would get is some text. I think 20/50 kbps in absolute best case, more like ~1000 bits per second.
