Not really. I run several web applications on one 15$ VPS. Although the user count is <5. But I think it would need quite a lot of users for the resource usage to go up to a critical level.

It's on by default because they assume you want to use your airpods and other apple peripherals.
If stuff like this bothers you, don't use apple.

Lol. The guy expected a good API in a JavaScript library that handles LDAP. Both of these have a terrible handling to begin with.

Re:Ask HN: Folks who grew up with online porn, are you addicted?
on Saturday December 23, 2023 @03:13AM (#38742547)
Got my first computer with a modem in my bedroom when I was 14 in 1997. Meaning, I explored the emerging internet unsupervised. Of course, I watched a lot of porn.
I'm 40 now and still occasionally watch porn. Maybe once a month. So definitely not addicted. Also, I didn't even develop any kinks.
Re:Git is awful. GitHub isn't good enough. It's killing us [video]
on Friday October 27, 2023 @10:11AM (#38038653)

He should simply do what the git devs originally did: create yet another SCM tailored to his needs.
Or alternatively use am existing tool that fits him.

I've ordered several things off temu. You get what you pay for.
Meaning: don't expect quality.
It's fine for stuff like necklaces, wristbands and small things like like certain crafting supplies.
But I would not dare to order tools of any kind. Nothing you'd expect to last at all.
