Same thing happened at my place over pepe emojis. What strikes me is the conversation centered around perceptions. "It makes me feel bad so take it down or else. End of the conversation" No opportunity to "work it out". Everything is confrontational, win or lose kind of thing. Each incident seems benign on its own, but kills soul in the long run. If you're ever caught in that crossfire, the reasonable stance is "just do what they say, don't make a scene, think of your career"

A lot of effort goes into making sure allocations are avoided though. You also have DOT's High Performance C# which is a blazing fast subset of C# (Burst Compiler). I like the idea of using a language for everything, then restrict to a subset where performance is critical. You don't have that wall between scripts and (C++) engine code. And as mentioned above, less glue code is appreciated.
Once planned to spend 2 days in Geneva, left after 3 hours. Dullest city I've been to. Lake was a nice sight but that's pretty much it.
