Oh cool, a remote igniter.
Yes it is correct. Lift always creates drag. You can think of drag as the work necessary to gain lift. When lift is generated, it produced what is called induced drag[0]. Induced drag and parasitic drag, which is the drag generated from the aircraft structure itself, are where all the energy goes in unaccelerted flight.

Re:Hey Android, why no love for UTC? on Friday April 15, 2016 @01:28AM (#11502391)
Please don't let this be the reason you don't switch to Android. I think this is a stupid bug to exist, but it hardly affects most people.
Not to mention every large tech company has a presence here.
Re:IMAX’s absurd attempt to censor Ars on Friday June 19, 2015 @01:26PM (#9746316)
It's ironic that in an article documenting attempted censorship, I have to squint to read this legitimate comment because people think that disagreeing with someone gives them the right to censor them.

Might be an interesting way to find errors in translation software.

A buyback also raises the value of options, while a dividend is not paid to option holders.
Yeah, if you are going to spend money, spend it on the reproduction side. A nice set of speakers will make you feel like you've never heard a song before.
What is with the trend to not check project files into source control? This project could be interesting, but garbage in, garbage out.

No one in the US wants to watch 480 video.

I don't think these are intended for power-amplification purposes.
This is what tabs are for.

A queue would only work if everyone used this system. Unfortunately, you will always have visitors or people who don't want to participate.
Re:How the Feds Can Take Even Legally Earned Bitcoins on Saturday February 22, 2014 @06:59PM (#7284236)
Are you saying that a "former" regulator is capable of "looking the other way"?

Doesn't Facebook timeline review prevent this?

Re:Chromecast now open to developers with the Google Cast SDK on Monday February 03, 2014 @02:25PM (#7172868)
Your friends with Android phones can't cast to Airplay, but they can cast to Chromecast.
Re:My Amazon interview experience on Sunday January 12, 2014 @06:09PM (#7047903)
I can think of a likely potential scenario: There are some reservations, maybe they are first offering the position to someone else and are waiting to see if they accept, or they want to bring you back in for more interviews to make sure. They wait too long to talk to you, and now they feel guilty and awkward talking to you at all. So they just stop.

For various reasons, ads can not be easily cached.
Re:61.5% of Web Traffic Is Not Human on Sunday December 15, 2013 @12:18AM (#6908480)
I'm pretty sure that is built into the price.
The chart is in fact for the year of founding, not sale. For 2013 it would be companies founded and sold in the same year, and I would expect that to be rare.
Go here: http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/sim-card. Check your device, and once you know which SIM type you need, click the "Add to Cart" under "Phone".

I literally just did this, so the timing of this post is nice. Even more nice is that they are waiving the $10 SIM card fee right now.

You buy the actual plan after you get the SIM and activate it. I don't know what they charge for activation, if at all.

This is one reason I'm always surprised people buy anything other than a Nexus device. You have a new phone, and it's running an OS that's already a year old.
They don't need to. You can get an unlimited data + 100 minute no contract plan from t-mobile for $30/month.
Re:IntelliJ IDEA 13 is Released on Tuesday December 03, 2013 @05:21PM (#6843609)
IMO, Android Studio is still far behind IDEA 12. There are some new features in AS, but IDEA is far more stable.
