sure. if we plan to go there someday. but it doesn't need to be humans that does all the manual labor when machines can do it faster and more efficiently.

Same thing with maned space missions. completely pointless waste of money. if we colonize a planet we will need machines to do it for us. if not completely automated then remotely controlled. no point in doing it any other way. I'm not even sure what the point of the ISS even is anymore.

So since that's the only choice you get you might as well vote for dems and at least get some food stamps.

There are. But it only takes one mistake and you're caught. I think most of the guys that do this for a living probably live in countries like Russia where the government doesn't cooperate with US authorities and they are basically free to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't screw over their home country.

Using phone numbers for verification is just stupid. I've switched phones a few times over the years and just got a new number rather than keeping my old one and i got locked out of my accounts because i didn't have access to the old number anymore. Stuff like Authy and Google Authenticator exist, I think it's time companies started using them.

The final stage of capitalism is rent seeking. you don't own the stuff you buy. you must pay subscription fees to rent the stuff thus generating never ending profits for the capitalists.

I have to stick up for XP because i have so many fond memories from my young adulthood of using it. I never had a problem with it's default theme but it also shipped with a few other themes that were better. like olive and then later the zune theme which was arguably the best one.

Best way to stop hackers is to just start handing out life sentences. that will put a stop to it. or even better. death penalties. like seriously just get a life. society doesn't tolerate thieves IRL so why would we tolerate them in the internet? Backdoors and exploits exist everywhere. no computer or building is 100% secure. we know this. so stop acting like you are doing everyone a favor by exposing them.

Linux is only useful if your time has no value. I use it on my server but that's about it. Couldn't use it on the desktop. it's just as bad now as it was back in 2007 when i first tried it. in fact i think it's actually gotten worse in some aspects. it' definitely slower and more bloated now for sure.
