Contrary to the main theme of the article, Google Analytics does in fact offer event based analytics in addition to page view analytics.

Pull the other one. You know exactly what you are doing.

Couldn’t have phrased it better myself. I’m guessing the original poster is a member of Indie Hackers, getting on the front page of HN is one of their main mission objectives when it comes to marketing.

Your post got like 30 upvotes in 30 minutes (paid for) which made it rocket up to the front page. The HN mod team then manually removed it from the front page due to vote manipulation. Notice how after your paid votes ran out nobody else gave it many more additional votes - still hovering around 30.

Try checking HN front page on a different IP and account ;-)

Yeah nice try but HN detected the voting abnormality and removed your post.
