This is why we should rename them to regressive. They somehow think going back to pre-industrialisation can work while they still keep their smartphones that they use to absorb their latest TikTok fuelled outrage, somehow incapable of understanding that they're not "de-industrialising", they're _exporting_ it to to other countries that are massively industrialising on their behalf, and now have tremendous power over them. Including via TikTok brainmelting slop.
These guys are working hard to solve a problem of their own making, but refuse to acknowledge because their job depends on it.
They’re so smart they’ve looped around to being full retard.
It is surprising to see so little thinking in the response from most of the commenters frequenting this website.
Flock cameras are a result of not enforcing existing laws. Judges are too lenient on offenders, repeat offenders are all too common, and so you have a reduction in the degree of trust in what should be a high trust society.
When there is not trust and too many people don't behave, you either start punishing offenders properly and potentially more harshly to disincentivise other would-be offenders, or you get Flock cameras.
You think only about the Flock cameras and their innate problems, but refuse to actually deal with _why_ Flock cameras are needed at all. Think a little.
Libel: The Movie. Classy.
You can't power a modern country like Japan with green energy. Please educate yourself.
Solar and wind aren’t profitable either if you count the entire lifecycle including bill of materials, production, transportation, maintenance, and teardown for replacement.
Well at least it looks like OpenAI is dogfooding because their announcements, product names, and everything else looks and sounds like LLM-slop.
The racist accusation has been overused so much it's not just having diminishing returns, it's having no effect. If you can't argue someone's point but just throw labels at them, you are going to lose because the labels lose value the more broadly you apply them.
And that will allow the real racists to walk right through your gates because you can no longer identify them when everyone you don't like is a racist.
Did the users of X consent to XCancel copying their posts to their servers?
He also runs an AI company now called Keen something. So he’s yet another biased hypester at this point.
Google which countries have nuclear weapons. Hint: It’s not just the US, it’s also its allies and frenemies who’ve not been invaded. It’s only nutball countries like Iran that get invaded when on the cusp of acquiring it and for good reason.
Domestic terrorists do exist. And Don Lemon got kicked out of the CNN. Not surprised he’s mentioned here. Not everything is an abuse of power.
I am so jealous of the American people. You might not all understand it, but this is what putting your own people first looks like.
Simplified egg laying are the chicken analogue to human female menstruation. It is technically quite different (chickens don’t have a uterus, for one), but it is still analogous.
South Korea's obesity threshold is much lower than western Europe and the US. There you're considered obese at 25 kg/m2 or above. In Europe and the US it's 30 kg/m2.
There's also factors like this: https://biz.chosun.com/en/en-science/2026/08/17/SC54HFSN7JAU...
I didn't mean to say the cases I listed are exclusively the only ones, but I still maintain they are a major part of it.
Japan teaches accountability and taking personal responsibility -- it's a country where its capital city can get away with barely any places to dispose of your trash and not be littered. DEI is barely a thing, if at all. And it definitely does not celebrate mediocrity.
We don’t teach children accountability. We teach adults the opposite.
Body acceptance movements («it’s sexy to be obese»), a social safety net built around supporting the people taking the least responsibility for their lives (like drug addicts), and a culture celebrating incompetence and throwing merit out the window in the name of DEI.
Is it really a surprise a large percentage of the population is obese, stupid and unwilling to change? It’s simply a fundamentally bad incentive structure on a western societal level.
If "AI" was actually as capable as its salesmen claim, why can't it just use whatever existing library is out there already?
Funny how Obama said the very same things and I'm pretty sure he wasn't far right.
Sure but I don't want wolves eating my children.
If you can’t answer that question for yourself maybe you should go live in China.
Both are bad and potentially life threatening, and fireworks routinely cause permanent disabilities like blindness.
Like how the government operated during covid.
Yeah because China never censor anything.
Social credit bonus for wild unfounded claims online is probably nice if you live in the top 5 megacities.
That’s not the topic. Read the post I replied to. No matter what a piece of software will never be a human.
AI psychosis would be my term. When you attribute to software the characteristics of a human you are in a psychosis.
This is a good thing, then we can trace exactly who paid for it, and fine them.
There is no other reason to have uranium enriched to that level. None.
