EDIT - because of rate limiting:
I've posted in both technical articles and political articles.
There have been a lot of political articles recently with the tech bans. I cannot help that.
Most of my comments are about freedom of speech, not really a political ideology.
I did not create an account to feed hellfire, I created an account to voice my opinion and debate from the other side because I see such one-sided arguments.
This is why you have an echo-chamber.
This whole mess happened because of the instigating of the media and the riots all year.
This event did not appear out of nowhere, there was major tension building and there still is.
WebP afaik has a more limited feature set.
I guess Obama did allow cartels to have guns by continuing Fast & Furious so you're half right.
Another point would be who decides what is or isn't a joke or hateful?
Do you want the companies to decide what the correct speech is, would you like a government panel to police speech?
Currently, I like illegal speech being the only rule because it gets murky otherwise.
edit: I don't see why I'm being downvoted, the article seems to be written when the BLM riots were relevant.
The extreme assumptions and generalizations don't help. There are many of us that don't agree with you but don't exactly line up with Republicans or even Trump supporters at times.
Many Trump supporters are Libertarians that do not agree full with Republican ideals completely, but it's the closest home.
Certainly didn't last as long, it cost less in property damage, less people died, and less neighborhoods burnt down.
Maybe we can ban both sides from social media and have no Twitter.
That's why this censorship ordeal is scary. Both sides deserve to be heard so people can listen, hear both sides, sift through the bullshit and decide for themselves.
It's about having a voice. It's about the main argument being "it's a private company" then going and banning the alternatives.
If they make their own platform like we tell them to, we'll just ban that too, haha.
"Bob, I am coming to kill you" or "Bob I'll kill you if you don't do X for me" a court would say is probably a credible threat, which is already illegal.
Why do we want to shift the responsibility of deciding how to police speech to private companies?
Sticks & stones.
The only fascism I see is the censorship going around.
How are they Nazis or fascists? Most want limited government, and no censorship. Trump supporters don't own the media and aren't silencing people.
I don't see why you have to attack me or my account. You're the one calling people fascists and getting flagged. I just wanted to point out that name calling gets you nowhere.
I'd say overall the majority on TDW are leaning more towards libertarian than conservative. Certain things like freedom of speech, 2nd amendment rights, limited government and spending are shared ideals. Other things like pro-marijuana, pro-life, Christianity are depicted and respected but differ between supporters and less popular then the ideals everyone agrees on.
We still talk and try to address climate change even though we can't do much to force China to change.
Also, the facts matter. If they did accidentally release it it they at least should be reprimanded by the world for it.
Movies should be written about it, don't let them forget.
Btw seen Chernobyl on Netflix? It's good.
Some people can't fathom others liking well done, some can't fathom rare. Pink in the middle is preferred but at red it's too watery for me, to each their own.
very angular-ish, template heavy with it's own syntax.
I would liken it to Chernobyl if they did accidentally release it. If it wasn't natural then it could have been prevented, including the 2 million dead.
