Re:The AI That's Too Dangerous to Release on Sunday May 12, 2019 @02:12PM (#19893478)
Lex Fridman recently stated on the Rogan podcast that openai only open sources a basic version of their ai tools, is this true?
No, but they might not travel with a pharmacy, they might not arrive right away, I might have inhaled smoke prior to their arrival or during the emergency exit. Based on your experience with asthma, smoke inhalation, asthma attacks, first responders etc. which must be vast, would you risk the life of yourself or toddler on the off chance the first firefighter you see has an inhaler in his pocket?

I completely agree, generally when I play devil's advocate, I preface it with: "Playing devils advocate, how would you respond to this counter point". The fine line is whether or not the other participants in the conversation are aware of your intent to play devil's advocate. If you are the only one who knows you are playing devil's advocate, your intent might be misconstrued. And if they never find out you were playing devils advocate, then well...
What if my bag contains my identification, prescriptions, inhaler? there are a lot of reasons to want your bag. What if you are a parent who carries things to maintain the health/safety of a small child, does your 2 year old take responsibility for their asthma medication?

That's good.

They could still administer a coding test to the bootcamp certificate holders. Just because you have a CS degree does not mean we hire you without a coding test. Some of the least productive coders I have worked with have had degrees. Most degrees only prove that you have some ability to memorize things, practical application is a very different skill.

I think gish galloping is the modern phrase, gish gallopers are toxic.

This could also be considered gaslighting, or just plain old attention seeking behavior.

I agree with this. I recently implemented similar changes in my daily routine. I am at least twice as capable and productive.
