What next?! Access to our wireless networks?
I'm bored now. Can't we talk about Motorola or Mars or Google Sponge or interesting things?
My phone runs CP/M and already has all these features.

Rankles is a great word. Google appears to have at least as many googlepologists as apple does fanbois, tho one doesn't recognise that whilst the other sees it for what it is.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a roll and let u know how it goes.
Re:Show HN: A virtual guitar teacher (after 18 months of dev) on Wednesday December 12, 2012 @04:09PM (#4912472)
ok. that wasn't obvious from my initial sign-up and look around, from my mobile. I'm a big fan of cartoon-style graphics but not at the expense of clarity and focus. I'm not really your target audience; I play piano, however my brother and father are definitely in your group. so, I could really use more information to help me decide if this could be for me. what do I need? why the wide-open space, sky and clouds? is my choice of avatar important? wasn't avatar an expensive movie? is this free? (hope this isn't too negative but I presume u would prefer constructive comments rather than 'awesome graphics' statements. we know they're awesome but that don't get u signups converting to payments.)
Re:Ask HN: How do you manage your one-man project? on Wednesday December 12, 2012 @03:50PM (#4912380)
pen and paper, with me at all times. less distracting. less weight.
Re: diary.io - should we build this? on Wednesday December 12, 2012 @03:45PM (#4912352)
please, no.

Hi

Who is your audience? It's not that clear from my first visits.

Re:Apple SSDs and the fusion drive ripoff on Saturday December 01, 2012 @08:28AM (#4857554)
So much anger.
Re:If Samsung doesn't supply Apple's processors, who will? on Friday November 30, 2012 @09:59AM (#4853462)
So, nothing new to report.
Re:$15 Dedicated servers from OVH on Wednesday November 28, 2012 @08:01AM (#4842267)
This post is just an ad, right?
Re:What happens when your pivot goes horribly wrong? on Monday November 26, 2012 @01:10AM (#4830853)
Totally agree.
Re:What happens when your pivot goes horribly wrong? on Saturday November 24, 2012 @01:10PM (#4825926)
Agreed. As developers we should also avoid turning everything into another Bill and Ted adventure. Awesome!
Re:What happens when your pivot goes horribly wrong? on Saturday November 24, 2012 @01:07PM (#4825915)
You beat me to it. Ditto. Perhaps I should've pivoted my reply! Yes, that was just as meaningless.
Re:Ask HN: is poutsch a good name for a web app? on Wednesday November 21, 2012 @10:19AM (#4814524)
The word poutsch doesn't evoke any feelings or sense of familiarity nor nostalgia. Its pronounciation is unclear and, depending on the regions where it will be used, it may sound 'too foreign'.

Noting the criteria above, you could consider a more obvious, clear and relevant name such as Declarium. This is just an example of course, and I'm sure you can find other names with a suitable path to help u decide on the suitability criteria.

Re:Numu.me (beta) on Monday October 22, 2012 @11:47AM (#4683668)
Awesome. I can store my passwords here. And the icing on the cake? It's so beautiful.
Re:Zynga stock plummets below value of its cash and real estate on Thursday October 11, 2012 @02:26AM (#4639710)
"We're addressing these near-term challenges by targeted cost reductions and focusing our new game pipeline to reflect our strategic priorities."

Methinks someone has been raiding that bingo variant for phrases.

Re:RockMelt For iPad on Thursday October 11, 2012 @02:15AM (#4639679)
great. more cat fotos.
Re:Core Values on Tuesday October 09, 2012 @02:39AM (#4630301)
Agreed. This sounds like unstructured hippy nonsense where we know that real hierarchies will exist and the loudest will reign, whether that's for the best or not. Life isn't a cosy co-op and neither is business. Unless it's a co-op, and they're not cosy.
Re:Live Camera Feed On Facebook Page Cover Photo on Monday October 01, 2012 @09:33AM (#4596854)
Whilst not a topic that I'd normally post on, but are the people in these images aware that they're being recorded? I don't really care but someone might.
Re:Ask HN: I just inherited 700K+ lines of bad PHP. Advice? on Saturday September 22, 2012 @01:41PM (#4558449)
Excellent, thoughtful and presumably experience-based reply. This gets my vote.
Re:Show HN: Tampon - an open source Buffer app on Thursday September 06, 2012 @12:18PM (#4484835)
Male soap. Male wet-wipes.

So, I never got as far as looking at the app cos the name made me shudder at the potential for similar behaviour underneath the surface.

Re:"I had the same drug dealer as the guy who invented Kickstarter." on Wednesday September 05, 2012 @03:41PM (#4481068)
Hmmm, that was called irony.

U forgot to add, "Awesome!!!" with a truly beautiful UI.

That you're systematic, coherent and understand that there is often more than one way to solve a problem. It tells us you welcome communication and want to ensure that even if someone doesn't have your email address that they are given different common options which will get a message to someone, given a name. I presume you also have suitable group aliases. You're the type of people who don't rush things and make mistakes, preferring to analyse and do things properly with consideration for the future and the unknown.
