I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Airdrop is basically the same thing as Android's Quick Share/Nearby Share, utilizing BT to find and pair devices, and then perform a direct wifi transfer of data. Android<->Android works no problem. iOS/MacOS<->iOS/MacOS no problem. Hell, I can even do this between Android devices and Windows/Linux machines. But Android<-/->iOS/MacOS - FOR NO GOOD REASON other than to keep them separate for capitalist reasons (doesn't matter what excuse you give it, brand differentiation, brand protection, walled-garden security - they're all excuses at the end of the day).
>There's only very limited interaction with the file system in iOS. This is by design.
In response to that, Apple can very easily extend the functionality over the API-layer to allow the sharing of, AT LEAST, photos and videos between Android and iOS/MacOS devices without having to worry so much about this issue. No need to give direct filesystem access.
I read a study a while back that showed taking breaks after learning/studying is crucial to efficient memory consolidation. Breaks can be filled with other activities, like working out. Promoting general blood flow, prob doesn't hurt in getting fresh O2 to the brain while it's doing it's thing....
If the former, then I'm not sure how they're getting accurate results.....if the latter....that could be complicated if it's a piece of furniture or something larger than the chamber used in the MS analysis.....
I would have much preferred she change their hiring policies to educate their hiring managers on how NOT to be biased against women and to NOT penalize women who negotiate for themselves. Treat women who aggressively negotiate their own salaries THE SAME WAY YOU WOULD IF IT WERE A MAN! Education, ultimately, is the answer to a long term solution. It would also help to make sure you have an equal balance of sexes that comprise your hiring team to truly level the playing field.
For a capitalist society, if you're a stronger negotiator, then you should absolutely reap those benefits, and if you're a weaker negotiator, then you have something to strive for and improve. By eliminating it altogether, I'm not sure how you can achieve sustainable, long term success. This decision also seems to undermine or belie the accolades thrown on her for being a Feminist icon in the tech/vc world. If you're trying to level the "playing field" then LEVEL it, don't eliminate it.
I wonder how long that will remain true as video footage as evidence will continue to increase in popularity. I guess the exonerate/convict coin really depends on which side wins....
