Personally, I love it. I've had an extremely pleasant experience during the Pro-backer "beta" program and look forward to additional updates. Granted, I'm using the SVG framework provided by the NPM package import only the required icons into a reusable React component. The new NPM framework supports tree-shaking so it's nice to not have to include all of the icons if I'm not even using them.

Re:Apple using moving letters as captcha on Tuesday May 14, 2013 @04:27PM (#5707824)
I'm surprised they don't include letters in different colors and only have you distinguish ones of a particular color. Or make certain colors blink having the user select only the ones that are blinking.

I think you meant "this is Apple letting you know who owns their notification infrastructure".
Re:Ask HN: What minor/major would compliment a CS degree? on Friday April 12, 2013 @04:28PM (#5540810)
I second the economics vote. It can really help you with your entrepreneurial desires. If you are really wanting to go out there, try out some law classes and see what you think. Not necessarily for a minor but they help you think about problems and issues differently.
Re:Dom's laptop is in Iran - Apology on Friday April 12, 2013 @09:03AM (#5538176)
Maybe I'm just of a different mindset but if they offered to return my laptop I would have gladly accepted.

For it to be such an issue in the beginning and then not-so-much in the end is suspicious.

Re:Ask HN: How can I make an extra 30-50k a year? on Thursday April 11, 2013 @02:45PM (#5533892)
Depending on your geographic location, this could be a lot of fun and really open your perspective. I've considered moonlighting as something similar to this (minus all the American Beauty connotations).

Makes you think about the differences around the world. Heck, I was amazed when I found an arrowhead as a child, I couldn't image a grenade. /unproductiveDiscussion
Re:The Era of Symbol Fonts on Tuesday March 12, 2013 @02:53PM (#5364087)
You could also use InkScape if you want a free alternative to Illustrator.

To me, using photoshop to design svgs is only going to cause you headaches.

Re:Bootstrap 2.3 Released on Friday February 08, 2013 @01:43PM (#5189409)
I've heard this before and I think it's a great topic. Is the addressable issue that there needs to be a way to "upgrade" to the newest version or is there a fundamental oversight into how we handle upgrades of amazing resources like this. I feel like there is an elegant solution out there but it just hasn't been adopted into CSS and JS yet.
Re:Font Awesome 3.0 is out on Friday January 04, 2013 @09:51AM (#5007821)
I think that the refresh icon is designed off-center causing it to spin off of its axis.
Re:What Is It Like To Be an Adult and Not Have Kids? on Friday December 28, 2012 @03:28PM (#4979336)
"...move to the midwest and shack up with some girl out of highschool desperate to get kids."

This is more accurate than I care to admit.

In an age of heavy social norms and pressure from peers to get married ASAP, the same could be said for topics like religion, financials, and less-importantly politics.

Not discussing these things early on are a recipe for disaster.

Very cool. The sounds made my dog freak out like I've never seen her before.

Good work!
