I'm starting to feel old. I remember fondly using jQuery. Oh, and MoTools.

Very useful feature to have. I've not dived into using Kagi just yet, but they may just win me over with this.
Re:Microsoft raises Xbox prices by up to 43%

I get the impression from Xbox and Sony that they are oblivious to the fact that they are killing the console. You no longer own the games you purchase. Rather, it's a license for a game (or movie) that can be taken away at any moment, and they want you to be okay with that. Prices are increasing with the excuse of the RAMpocalypse, but the hardware upgrades between the generations are minimnal.
Okay. Vent over.

I've never got into turning business names into verbs, and I am from the generation that heavily used "Google it".
Nowadays, I have colleagues suggest to "Ask Claude/ChatGPT". I want to collaborate and build on the team experience, not ask a system that can hallucinate an answer!

That's fair, but I'm not advocating to use legacy software. But am just highlighting that people and organisations are doing so. Sometimes they have no choice because their business runs on software that requires a specific OS or whatever reason. All we can do is encourage them to take steps to ramp up their security if they refuse to budge.

I like the inclusion of Option C: Stick with Win10 but harden it. A lot of the news gives the impression that your world is over when 14th hits, not recognising that historically legacy software and hardware is a thing. I know some will just continue using Win10 on their hardware that doesn't support Win11 and are okay with it. But, yeah, your guidance of security measures is a good recommendation.

I like how Ofcom will use AI to drive content moderation, given how there has been news regarding the mental health of workers doing this. Since there is still a human aspect, my hope is that effort is still put in to ensure human moderators are looked after.

It is this generalisation that creates a sense of danger. Not all VPN users are performing illegal activity.
As a developer and working on sensitive contracts (inc. public services), I would use a VPN to safeguard client data.

I agree.
While there's no official port for macOS, I use keka (https://www.keka.io/en/) to fill that void.

While I like good-feel news such as this, there is more to the story than meets the eye. Buried in the comments are links to news sources which go into further legal details.

Oh wow. Thanks for sharing. This'll definitely be useful for my kids studies. It would be even better if filtering happened automatically when selecting options.
Edit: Oops. I should be paying more attention to comments as someone already suggested this.
