Thanks for the background. I'm sympathetic to Snopes but it's very un-Snopes-like for them to leave this context out of their post.
Re:Why Self-Checkout Is and Has Always Been the Worst
on Saturday March 09, 2019 @11:52AM (#19347011)
Even with all their problems I still prefer self checkout for three reasons: 1) Speed due to the line being shorter and being able to scan and pay for my items quicker than the cashier typically can 2) not having to interact with a stranger if I don't feel like it and 3) I can bag my items the way I like them to be bagged.

What if Apple or Amazon didn't find the chips but other investigators found them in Apple/Amazon servers. That would make their denial wording technically true. They didn't say no chips were found, they just said they didn't find any.

Why aren't corporate employees held accountable for their abuses of power? I think there's more accountability in government because government records are generally open to the public vs corporate records which are private.

It's completely inconsistent. I would expect to see reverse chronological of all activity of everyone I follow but whatever it is it's not that. I can't really identify how it chooses which posts to display.

None of the stories in the Discover section ever appeal to me. Snapchat is great for sexting and in the gay community is used by a lot of people to create/share amateur porn. Maybe they could monetize that somehow.
