sampa

as if industrial sabotage was invented in Russia
it must be comfortable to have such a simplistic view on the world
no, it's not
europe's being europe
would be funny if I didn't need to do that to know that first sanctions came in 2014, or do I?
would be funny if they've decided to not buy Russian VSMPO-AVISMA's Ti because of politics and self-sanctions, and then they got fake Ti.
just like it showed with Vision in VR industry?
you can't do anything.

current governments in big/not-failed countries are way too powerful, so any idea that "people decide" is from an old age.

they just want you to continue to believe this, so they keep the sheep and you think you live in a good ole western democracy, while you're not

but they have a Turkic family language there, not a Slavic one
maybe because 60 Hz on LCD doesn't make your eyes bleed like anything less than 85Hz on CRT does?
Re:Transforming a QLC SSD into an SLC SSD on Tuesday May 21, 2024 @02:42AM (#40424913)
it's a well-known site and you could check that with web.archive.org dating it back to at least 2013.

oh that western superiority complex... hits once again... beside the mark
and don't forget Nokia, that MS bought and killed

remember, when a hostile state does it - it is because they're dictatorial.

when a friendly state does it - it is because it was a threat to democracy.

don't confuse 'em

Trees don't grow to the sky

and there's no perpetuum mobile either

bbbut, remember that inflation is transitory

PS just like they missed the window for hikes, now they miss the window for cuts, again

if only printing money could solve all problems

alas, but people don't like inflation

their debt is 230% of GDP

when global crisis hits again (pretty soon, I'd say), they will have major problems

for now people (carry traders) are happy to borrow yen for 0% and convert and earn 5% in USD, hence the falling yen

Japan monetary policy is a ponzi scheme waiting to crash

been that way for decades

no, it's not "established". it's just another suspicion
Re:Flowers for Algernon (1965) [pdf] on Monday March 11, 2024 @09:42AM (#39668132)
tear-squeezing teen novel

PS When I read it was so fake when the then-genius protagonist (that is on above-human level) finds it oh-so interesting to talk to that woman-professor.

Re:Bitcoin jumps above $60k since November 2021 on Wednesday February 28, 2024 @08:47AM (#39537819)
only time and guilt
Re:Forum reactions to Satoshi's Bitcoin paper on Friday February 23, 2024 @03:22PM (#39485613)
I think it's easy. Tech people like to think they're very smart, and yet most of them have missed bitcoin, being arrogant (though many of them heard about it and could have it since the beginning)

So it's more of an act of self-defense.

Re:Bad property debt exceeds reserves at largest US banks on Wednesday February 21, 2024 @03:00AM (#39451221)
when the banks fall and the system is collapsing, this is their only answer

see 2008, 2020

Re:Bad property debt exceeds reserves at largest US banks on Tuesday February 20, 2024 @09:09AM (#39441471)
yes, "money printer go brr" moment is coming

this is the only thing governments all over the world are going to do when everything falls apart

Re:Alexei Navalny has died โ€“ authorities on Friday February 16, 2024 @08:49AM (#39396952)
well, that's a lesson for every western-backed opposition wannabe: don't trust your German handlers (probably told him, they will support him like a murderer Khodorkovsky, and get him out later)

prisons are bad for your health

somebody has shorted btc and sent this transaction hoping the crowd goes crazy 'satoshi is back, now he'll dump all his bitcoins, SELL!!1!'

didn't work.

because anybody can send money to any address, doesn't prove a thing

well of course nobody would have NSA_friendly_override() in the source

plausible deniability is essential in such cases, hence the term bugdoor

or Apple just implemented this "API" for them, because they've asked nicely
NSA found out

PS anybody thinks that Apple cooperated on this cpu "feature"?

PPS remember how everybody laughed when Russia said iphones were bugdoored?
