"people who it can help"

This is just my story but before ADHD diagnosis and medication I was unemployed, on food stamps, in an abusive relationship, and struggling with alcoholism. After taking medication for a couple years I'm in a healthy relationship, making good money in a stable job, and on the wagon. The medication prescribed helped so much with my impulse control issues that it literally changed my life.

I have always thought of him in this way, and I have quite a few extended family members that fit into this category. Sometimes they aggravate me to no end, but someday I will miss them dearly all the same. And as cliche as it may sound: John C. Dvorak was truly one of a kind.
He predicted the switch to intel from PowerPC and while a blind squirrel finds and nut, etc. etc. I was always very impressed with that one
39 reporting in, John is the only personality I kept tabs on from those early days. While like many here, I took issue with some of the content on No Agenda, I still listened to quite a few shows even quite recently. He and Adam could get into vicious on air battles, but in the end you could tell they deeply respected and cared for each other. I'll miss his rants and his strong (and frequently wrong) opinions.
Trained doctors pushed opiates and benzos on me when they were very much not needed and in both cases led to dependancies and horrific withdrawals. I'm sure many others can chime in with their own similar experiences. Medical professionals are incredibly crucial to the wellbeing of society, but they have also been responsible for much suffering because they are human just like us.
