Re:Serbia just elected the world's brainiest parliament on Saturday October 31, 2026 @09:13AM (#50315901)
Is that really difficult to analyse elections in a non-biased way? This article is really missing the point.
Am I wrong or it doesn’t seem to detect the em-dashes as clear warning signal?

Opus 4.8 - High

> how many days in the week have the letter d in them?

> Two - Sunday and... wait, let me actually check. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. The ones with a "d": Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday all have one. Monday too. So that's Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday - four days.

A couple of advices:

- add some screenshots or a demo video to the repo

- I’m not familiar with Plaid, and I’m not probably the only one. A list of main banks/countries probably would make sense? Or just a link that I could not easily find.

Re:Ferrari Luce – Designed with Jony Ive on Tuesday May 26, 2026 @01:29AM (#48275376)
It’s the first Ferrari EV: they had to think disruptively and I really appreciate the courage. Love the design IMHO, looking forward to see the street performances.
It’s like what Perplexity did with the PayPal userbase.

Not sure why a bribe would’ve involved: it’s a win-win situation, especially near elections.

Re:Let's Buy Spirit Air on Monday May 04, 2026 @01:45AM (#48005062)
I agree, but I started noticing the em-dash usage spike.
I personally encountered that problem with browser use and I developed a listener on top that gets triggered when there’s a captcha, so it just switch off chrome headless so the user can solve it before proceeding.

What are you suggesting?
Re:Google Broke Its Promise to Me. Now ICE Has My Data on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @02:21PM (#47783077)
Sorry guys, but what’s the story here?

Google not protecting users data? Seriously?

This is FUD. Supervised means that the camera watches you in realtime keeping attention.

But I get this type of comments just to go against one person.

So if you say BS you can just add /s and it’s fine?
No, it’s not.

This solution went through millions of kilometres of data and tests.

RDW did a really thorough job since we’re talking about Europe: https://www.rdw.nl/en/news/2026/rdw-explanation-of-european-...

Stop. Spreading. FUD.

The best part is not just that Tesla got provisional validity in the Netherlands, it is that the approval appears to come after a long testing process and with actual public reasoning attached.

Even if EU regulations are painfully strict, getting this far means Tesla FSD has cleared a serious technical and regulatory review.

Upgrading decades old legacy systems? Good luck with that.
Re:Quantum computing bombshells that are not April Fools on Thursday April 02, 2026 @01:55AM (#47610464)
I’m impressed by the BTC obsession: this will definitely impact the banking sector as a whole even before. Quantum FUD, here we come.
I was inches away from investing..

Probably not using it from ages.

Re:Europe's $24T Breakup with Visa and Mastercard Has Begun on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @01:13AM (#46971502)
Basically Europe solution to state/companies surveillance is an European managed surveillance, plus a CBDC to get even more into their citizens. Know your enemies, there are solutions out there.
Goodbye Discord. It was good to have you.

Re:Lemonade Autonomous Car Insurance (With Tesla FSD Discount) on Saturday January 31, 2026 @09:07AM (#46836830)
Still doesn’t change my point: as of today being skeptic because relying on outdated data or historical series is just nonsense. I mean, insurance quotes work in a totally different way.
Re:Lemonade Autonomous Car Insurance (With Tesla FSD Discount) on Saturday January 31, 2026 @03:11AM (#46834533)
They don’t bet money on just “I’m quite skeptical because I hate the man”, but on actual data provided by the company.

That’s the difference.

Wow. This comment makes me wonder if really earth is flat.
Re:Proton Spam and the AI Consent Problem on Saturday January 24, 2026 @02:36AM (#46741775)
Whining for visibility: that’s even worse.
> In the US, animal-based skin substitutes require levels of scrutiny from the Food and Drug Administration and animal rights groups that can drive up costs, Lee said. Given the substantial supply of donated human skin, tilapia skin is unlikely to arrive at American hospitals anytime soon.

This reminds me of Milton Friedman’s arguments against the FDA.

> “Until about 2016, we didn’t really know what we were going to do with these detections that we’d accumulated,” Anderson said. “We hadn’t figured out how to do the whole second part of the analysis.”

> What's next, an Internet license?

That’s exactly my concern here. Trying to solve a problem with good intent by proposing solutions that hurt the overall environment.
