so a typical HN poster, if not below the HN average?
they made really good mice and arguably the mouse driver (MS Windows) is very popular up to this day

also Excel, but Excel's usability is being killed by sharepoint

Copilot is as it is (definitely it improved) and is simply useful as part of thr MS Office bundle.

most office workers seem to want at least the 20 usd per month plan

This can mean nothing who uses AI for programming, but is useful for day to day office work - and I belive it can sell very well

Tsinghua Tongfang (and I think Clevo) offers customizable laptops. Resellers might use own branding.

CPU and RAM are socketed. Clevo had socketed graphics cards too

Re:Show HN: Steal My Bitcoin on Saturday October 24, 2026 @05:32PM (#50225561)
this should be done on one of those barebone servers that run on an 8bit commodore or an atari (self identifying as something else)
I also dont know anything but Im sure AI / cloud / blockchain / mongoDB / (insert fad here) will solve it due to synergy and other buzzwords.

sound (and lack of it) is something that gives aa lot of balance to the game

in brood war you get info when units are made and sounds wben they die. unless an invisible dark templar one shots your units, then no sound

also brood war is the better game

Re:New York City should carefully measure a new tree on Saturday October 03, 2026 @07:07PM (#49948669)
such lists just provide a list of targets for some assholes who will cut the trees
that is the plan, to make everyone have to use utah law

underlying reason is hatred for free internet

fox news is classified as entertainment and not news because if they were news they could be sued

What is reasonably priced? Lenses are lenses so one vould debate the real cost, but the frames are incredibly overpriced for a piece of metal or plastic with two joints and those components that land on your nose.

Frames could literally cost 1 dollar (only happened after china entered this market), but good luck finding ones like this with good lenses.

You need to buy from one supplier who intentionally offers cheapest frames for 50+ dollars and those frames look like crap. The ones that look better (even if same plastic) cost 500+ dollars - and all due to price gouging.

For lenses I am not sure, but suspect something similar.

You know your basic income will be some minumum to make you shut up, while the owner class will own everything?
Re:A misalignment of AI in mathematics on Saturday September 12, 2026 @05:38AM (#49670664)
There are chess engine tournaments too, to see who can build the best one
Re:OpenAI agents carried out an undisclosed attack on RubyGems on Saturday September 12, 2026 @05:35AM (#49670651)
Why wont they just hack the central bank to get AI financing from the money printer?

Nobody would be responsible for that, since the hack was done by AI.

Some option is to bribe some politicians, although they already act as if they were bribed.

Will "the AI" hack the vote couting machines too? Or will it be the guy good with computers + Russia?

Those benchmarks are very interesting.

But is there any model that actually works in a decent way at quantization of 1?
