This seems to be a planning issue more than an EV issue...
It doesnt work like that internally. It would be different BUs purchasing from other BUs. Ir probably helps with taxes.
Re:Anthropic's growth just flattened (really) on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @02:43AM (#50349202)
Its not very complex to create an Agentic loop with deepseek and the performance increases a lot (and is still cheap).
Well, because one of the strategies of earning more money is paying workers lesser.

Most seeds dont taste good unless they are processed right?
Re:Why do we have so many meetings? on Thursday October 22, 2026 @05:21AM (#50193109)
Well, its meant as an exam for foreign students whose first language is not English. Its important to understand that they probably write much better in their first language.
Re:The iPhone Duo on Thursday October 22, 2026 @04:22AM (#50192689)
I wonder why there is a need for a nice display on the outside at all. maybe a small display showing notifications or something should be enough. Then the developers can only focus on the inside display.
Re:OpenAI CLI on Thursday October 22, 2026 @04:03AM (#50192546)
There are different ways of using AI. Experienced software developers can easily still test their "vibe coded" app for most common bugs.
Re:Where is all the new, good software? on Thursday October 15, 2026 @02:47AM (#50100127)
Most actual software written using "Agile" methods is also supposed to be fragile (unless an actual good engineer is steering it)
Re:Where is all the new, good software? on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @04:57AM (#50068688)
Usually it starts like this.
Re:Denmark set to allow return of 'physical force' in school on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @04:51AM (#50068638)
Thankfully, My parents who were both teachers specifically told my teachers not to hurt me physically and my teachers actually listensed to them.
Re:OKI Develops 124-Layer PCB Technology on Saturday October 03, 2026 @03:12PM (#49946871)
There should be tools to intelligently route the signals
It depends. I have compard some answers with my discussions with different llms and i still find the answers in the sub qualitatively better.
There is another sub which tracks answered questions. Its a side effect when focussing on quality.
Re:Why the Bronze Age Collapsed on Thursday October 01, 2026 @04:20AM (#49919123)
But IVC had already crashed some 600 years before the bronze age collapse and the populations had migrated to other regions.

Ehh, the internet was worse before Google. Google actually became popular for having a nice blank page with only the search bar. Even the ads they had later were much cleaner compared to yahoo, altavista, lycos, aol and other firms of that time.
Yeah, look at AskHistorians. Its still pretty awesome.
Re:Six-year-old breaks women's world Rubik's Cube record [video] on Thursday September 24, 2026 @05:41AM (#49828332)
There are a lot of environmental factors which need generational changes to make Women compete equally with Men. Most of the really talented women are never given the chances they need or their focus is diverted to "girly" things. So we are only seeing a small subset of women. To encourage more women, we need categories like this.
Re:IBM Bob on Tuesday September 08, 2026 @05:18AM (#49607765)
It uses hidden models, mostly Claude and open ai models. They try to check the prompt and route to the model that is capable of it, thus saving money.
Re:Kimi K2.7 Code is generally available in GitHub Copilot on Thursday July 02, 2026 @04:18AM (#48758183)
Models are bad at chess. I am using a middleman to help models play chess and experimenting. https://abhay-ai.github.io/R_Daneel_AI/
I dislike crypto as much as the next guy but, the normal currencies are not very different.
Re:What happens when coding agents stop feeling like dialup? on Tuesday September 23, 2025 @05:54AM (#45344886)
It depends on how much you want the LLM to do. I personally work on function level and can easily verify if it works with a look and few tests.
Re:Stop Building AI Tools Backwards on Thursday July 24, 2025 @08:00AM (#44669632)
The whole field of metaheuristic algorithms rests on a similar idea. a lot of stupid "agents" finding a good solution. by metaheuristics i mean genetic algorithms, PSO, ACO etc.
Re:GlobalFoundries to Acquire MIPS on Wednesday July 09, 2025 @03:18AM (#44507137)
They signed a contract with IBM to manufacture their chips at 7nm (and reneged).
Re:GlobalFoundries to Acquire MIPS on Wednesday July 09, 2025 @03:16AM (#44507127)
Yeah and IBM had to move their designs in the last minute from GF to Samsung. I have heard that the Samsung process was much better and the tech transfer was easier than expected.
Using Neural nets, Deep Learning in pharma is not something new. Naturally LLMs are different. You should look into personalized medicine.
Thats WatsonX for you now.
Re:Ask HN: How to Get Rid of Gemini? on Tuesday June 24, 2025 @04:03AM (#44363863)
I use Ecosia and it feels much better to me.
That is a leap, but its could be approached with open mind. We have learnt a lot in the last few decades that would have sounded like fantasy to someone 100 years ago.
Re:My AI skeptic friends are all nuts on Tuesday June 03, 2025 @03:05AM (#44167225)
It will have benefits for people who own them or can afford them. It will drastically reduce jobs and make people poorer, while the rich become richer. The economical effect of the technology will be like a "nuke" on the economy.
