Re:The Forgotten Generation: Generation X Approaches Retirement on Wednesday September 27, 2023 @11:45PM (#37684988)
Same here, I got to watch my dad burn though his retirement nest egg at an astonishing rate once he fell Ill and needed long term care. Started out at only $3800/m for assisted living and ended up at $11,000/m in a nursing home. This was by far the most stressful period of of both our lives. You will need much more money to retire than you realise unless you stay in good health or die young.

Like the time I ordered some slate coasters but received an envelope of slate chips and fine powder. I was not able to leave a review that mentioned that the seller just wrapped the coasters in a paper towel and tossed the coasters in a sturdy envelope.

This is my experience as well. We have at least 6 streaming services and it’s still $100/mo cheaper than my direct tv bill.

Re:My System/3 model 10 on Tuesday February 14, 2023 @12:10PM (#34792452)
