>>There’s one caveat: according to a market analyst, a sheet of Gorilla Glass costs around $3, while the same piece of sapphire glass would cost $30

I'm already paying a lot of money for the smartphone what difference does it make another $30-$50 dollars. Especially considering that is far more expensive to replace the screen of the phone and in a lot of cases you'll have to replace the entire phone which will cost you a couple hundred dollars.

Yeah, the guys is a bit incoherent. He claims he is a libertarian while at the same time opining how bezos should spend his money. Money that nobody else has a claim to it anymore but bezos. As long as he is not breaking any laws whom am I to even think what he should do with his money. That is how a true libertarian should think.

The fact he doesn't think this way means he is just trying to bullshit us by claiming he is a libertarian or he simply does not understand what the word means [1].

And I say you are completely wrong. Even though you are saying you are not trying to tell him what to do in really you are trying to tell him what to do with his money.

If you were truly a libertarian you would not even comment about how he should be spending his own money.

What are you, crazy? No, what you do is that you jump ship.

Very true. Transformative my ass. I was already pretty efficient at building websites without rails.

Well, they were pretty vocal about calling everybody, in no uncertain terms, for using frameworks other than Rub/Rails, an idiot. There is plenty of bad will that they've been accumulating because of that and this is simply the backlash.

If you really think you are the best there is no need to insult developers who do not use your frameworks. Unfortunately that is exactly what they did. People have long memories.

And in my opinion they deserve every bit of it.

The comment below by user mhartl demonstrates the attitude of pretending everybody else is shit.

The nerve to call other frameworks bug-ridden as if their shit didn't stink. Specially in light of all the security problems with Ruby/Rails that have come to light recently.

I wonder if this is Karma for all the hyperbole and bad nature comments that the Rails community has thrown at Java. This is some really good schadenfreude. Please keep them coming Rails/Ruby.

And hopefully karma catches on with whomever does this and rot in jail.

You will when its your turn.
I thought gold went up with inflation.
Or they are just making it up and using this as an excuse to never allow him to play in their casinos

Trying to parse this sentence, you are implying that you thought their actions could be explained by arrogance and now you think it is something else. Correct?

I have to say I'm kind of glad. I have some AI ideas that I think are going to be killer. Currently in the early development stage. If they are focusing more on profit probably they can get distracted enough to not see me coming.

Currently worried that they are beefing up their AI pursuits because of the recent AI hires which could mean I don't even have a chance. Lets se what happens.
