Little evidence that I was abused as a child too, must not have happened.

Re:Ask HN: What are you working on? (March 2025) on Sunday March 30, 2025 @07:53PM (#43529071)
Just shipped my first film for a client's auction gala that was received with high praise! Now itching for more video production. We overproduced it with 4k drone footage, multiple multicam interviews, and I got some incredible b-roll.

So fun!

Re:Why can't we remember our lives as babies or toddlers? on Tuesday February 18, 2025 @06:44PM (#43096613)
My brain/memory turned on full lucid at age 2ish. I remember dreams in vivid detail, can draw you pictures of houses ive been in, all sorts of conversations my parents had.

I'm writing a memoir right now, since I dont know what else to do to shed this since it's pretty horrible stuff I remember.

These numbers are not scary.
The attack animations are superb. I did not defeat the power warp core but I will. Seeing power warp core get the question wrong is satisfying. Looking forward to future updates!

Specifically this is how American English works. From composition to pronunciation. It's a beautiful mess <3
Thank you! Will do.
ACE 8. I didn't know this was a thing and took a test which accurately described my entire childhood with every question.

I don't know where to go from here? I want the daily pain to stop.

Feels like they are scraping the near-empty jar of mayonnaise.
Re:How economical is your local Taco Bell? on Wednesday September 11, 2024 @01:28PM (#41513482)
I live up the hill from this one and spent >$70 on a few items last Friday for my gf. Insane price for satiation and eventual butt mud.
Same here, and in some ways still am. Mine was abuse-filled with a lot of neglect.

Soul crushing! Reading his writing these past years has been a treat. I'm rooting for you all.
This is awesome! I truly want to continue texting myself, and push the texts to searchable note apps since iMessage query experience is 1/10 imo.

I found phonetonote [1] and they provide a textable 310 number which pushes to kinopio (which is how I found it), roam, logseq, zapier, etc. I think they have a telegram bot and chrome extension but I haven't tried them yet.

Yes this began with the acquisition of xnor.ai. Absolutely amazing what will be done (and is being done) with edge computing.
Re:Ask HN: What rabbit hole(s) did you dive into recently? on Thursday April 25, 2024 @11:20AM (#40158620)
Thanks for the push to learn this as well!

Curious how you best learned how to communicate complex ideas with empathetic language?

My dad lives by using dish soap to lube up hoses and other connectors. This has that vibe.

Reminds me of mmm.page
Amazing! I feel the tinge on my left palm when it's plugged in. Bought.
Re:Losing my son on Thursday January 18, 2024 @04:16PM (#39047869)
How utterly soulcrushing. Reading this I realized at once that both I want to be loving unconditionally to my kids like you and also my parents would never do this for me.

You and your family sound like beautiful people, and I hope you can be kind to yourself no matter what happens.

When timing is more appropriate, I'm curious to hear more in-depth about how to cling relentlessly to joy.

Re:Ask HN: Why did Visual Basic die? on Monday September 11, 2023 @06:50PM (#37474753)
I learned VB when I was 8 and built a few games with it. I wish I kept coding :'(
Re:Show HN: I created a game to memorize the fretboard on Friday May 26, 2023 @08:25PM (#36090967)
This is awesome. As a complete noob, it would be nice to hear the correct note once I swat the fly. There isn't a lot of positive reinforcement with this and it's really hard
I am just pulling out of this. In the moment of crisis, it's a blend of all things. When I am financially, physically, nutritionally, hygienically needs met the symptoms of dysfunction are in remission.

But I am struggling to find work so it's a vicious cycle.

Life is brutal: I'm rooting for anyone who knows the struggle.

when w.cd died I lost a part of my life :'(
It works if you work it
