And AIDE is also the name for an Android IDE or an Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment
The article state that small black holes have the size of stars. Micro black holes should be quite big too I guess?

I would like my public CA to sign me an intermediate certificate with my domain as named contraint. So I could use the built in trusted CAs

Re:Webtoon Targets 170 Pirate Domains Through DMCA Subpoena on Thursday August 22, 2024 @02:48AM (#41317502)
The article stage some sites got shut down. It does not sound like normal delisting on google. The normal dmca takedowns on google are usually for specific content/urls.

Guess hosting etc. was in US for DMCA to be applicable to these sites

I bought a motherboard with an integrated Intel C2xxx atom cpu back in 2015. It was running fine and until it just died after 1 1/2 years. Turned out to be a design failure on the CPU. https://www.theregister.com/AMP/2017/02/07/intel_atom_failur...

And recently I have bought a possibly broken 14 gen i9 cpu.

Are there any schemes that could allow e2ee seamlessly across email providers without compromise in privacy?
The documentation seems to be lacking. I am specifically interested in gvisor and kata support, but cannot find information on installing additional runtimes
I was truly amazed by this game! You don’t see anything like that elsewhere

Recently installed PopOS on my desktop. That is currently my top suggestion as an Ubuntu alternative

Ordered!
Your view on cyber security seems to be painted by bug bounty programs. But I agree that the offensive side is more sexy than the defensive side, but it easy to forget that in the end, we are all really working on defense
Re:How to copy a file between devices? on Thursday February 15, 2024 @02:13AM (#39379943)
Needed copying a pdf file from iPhone to PC. That was absolutely impossible! Tried USB, WiFi and Bluetooth. None of the built in apps or sharing services allowed copying the file over.

I am curious why they did not go for 4090, as it seems to give more hashes/sec/dollar

Rinsed ny iPhone XS to clean off some dirt. FaceID stopped working and I could see fog on the inside of the camera. Guess the seals/glued parts no longer held up
“We aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers. No action is required from you,…”

Sounds like there will be targeted ads tailored for the viewer

Totally agree! Sounds like your thesis is worth a read. Can you share a link?

[email protected] if you do not want to share publicly

Re:How to Escape a Container on Thursday December 21, 2023 @01:13AM (#38717545)
Whats the state of lightweight VMs? Can they replace containers yet?

Not sharing the kernel with the host os (or other containers) is a huge security boundary.

Re:MongoDB is actively investigating a security incident on Saturday December 16, 2023 @04:35PM (#38667930)
Received this security notice today:

Hi Redacted,

MongoDB is investigating a security incident involving unauthorized access to certain MongoDB corporate systems. This includes exposure of customer account metadata and contact information. At this time, we are NOT aware of any exposure to the data that customers store in MongoDB Atlas.

We detected suspicious activity on Wednesday (Dec. 13th, 2023) evening US Eastern Standard Time and immediately activated our incident response process. We are still conducting an active investigation and believe that this unauthorized access has been going on for some period of time before discovery. We have also started notifying relevant authorities.

What should you do next? Since we are aware that some customer account metadata and contact information was accessed, please be vigilant for social engineering and phishing attacks. If not already implemented, we encourage all customers to activate phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) and regularly rotate passwords. MongoDB will continue to update mongodb.com/alerts with additional information as we continue to investigate the matter.

Sincerely, Lena Smart MongoDB CISO

Just don’t use the built in firewall and use an external of your choice. That works for me.
Re:Demystifying Web Push Notifications on Friday December 01, 2023 @05:04PM (#38493139)
Firefox, but it works fine now…
If it has not already happened, evidence will get thrown out of court because the image no longer represents the reality. Too many filters and other AI improvements.
