I’d expect people writing for a living to understand and use semicolons.

Your thumb doesn’t roll under your palm, it just moves a quarter inch from Space to Command.
Re:Keyboard differences between Windows and Macs on Friday October 09, 2026 @02:17PM (#50024594)
Why would you use a pinky? Thumb to the left to Command, index finger down to C.
Re:Keyboard differences between Windows and Macs on Friday October 09, 2026 @01:58PM (#50024338)
How does your pinky naturally rest on Control? Your pinky should be resting on A. Your thumb rests on Space, which makes shifting it to hit Command easy.
Re:Shopify moves back to Native from React Native on Thursday September 10, 2026 @02:11PM (#49648019)
I think they also got sick of supporting those open source libraries.
Re:iPhone Duo on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @04:24PM (#49633674)
By this logic they should discontinue the regular Pro.
Re:Tailwind Labs is joining Shopify on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @12:16PM (#49628941)
Not really. Every single button that gets rendered has thirty class names attached to it instead of one. It really bloats markup with duplicated classes.
Apple has a long long history of supporting open source.

And yet that site has horizontal scroll bars.
That says Qatar funded it.
No, it wasn’t.
It was pretty close until republicans pulled back Medicaid.
Re:Let's Make the Worst Htmx on Saturday August 01, 2026 @12:01AM (#49130913)
How is htmx invulnerable to vulnerabilities and attacks?
What advantages does HTMX have? You end up with splintered spaghetti code, multiple languages/idioms, and unpredictable state.
The creators of HTMX are combative, dismissive, and short-sighted. Keep them far away from any spec discussions.
Who said it can’t do gaming? All the regular graphics APIs are supported.
They sold the Xserve for ten years, across the PowerPC and Intel eras.
You said you added a new Go templating layer.
Re:AI companies are shredding rare books on Monday July 27, 2026 @11:16AM (#49070883)
Easy claim to make when you’re not responsible for storing those books.
How does introducing a third layer reduce complexity?
HTMX is just as JS compute heavy. It's not magic.
Deep end how?
Re:Blender 5.2 LTS on Sunday July 19, 2026 @07:07PM (#48972523)
They are silly assumptions, especially for an open-source project trying to gain mindshare.
Re:Blender 5.2 LTS on Sunday July 19, 2026 @01:40PM (#48970105)
Laptops have been outselling desktops for decades, and the idea that Apple users are some quirky tiny minority has been false for just as long.

Blender’s UI just makes bad assumptions.

Re:Blender 5.2 LTS on Sunday July 19, 2026 @01:17PM (#48969918)
I wouldn’t call Blender’s UI particularly great either. The assumption that you have three mouse buttons and a separate number pad is pretty crazy.
Video editors use high-speed network storage.
Re:Apple increases MacBook and iPad prices by 20% on Thursday June 25, 2026 @12:09PM (#48675513)
Except you only need to eat that hardware cost once a decade.
