Which areas is film superior to the modern sensors?
This bug can only make you believe something is true, but not make that said thing true (except in some cases where the two overlap).

You know what fans (the real ones) do? They try to know more about the thing they are fans of, and to understand it. Your comment shows nothing of the kind.
Repeating a statement will not make it a fact.

How many communist countries have you lived in? Cared to name a couple, where barter was preferred?
Re:In praise of cash on Saturday March 04, 2017 @03:16AM (#13789933)
Unless you keep all your cash collected under the pillow it does cost money to deposit it at the bank.
"should" is the key word here.
To park, not to drive. And the speed in this case is 2km/h instead of bicyclist doing 20 among pedestrians.
Of course, we all know that Tim makes money by selling ads. And Google, on the other hand, has nothing to do with it /s
Land Rovers do not drive on sidewalks, for a start.
That's a really shitty comparison. Unless cyclists really do drive in such packs (which they don't). In reality, the effective space taken by cyclist on genera purpose road is bigger than a car — you need a huge safety margin to overtake a cyclist, and if you cannot do that you a forced to follow them untill you can and that's really ineffective. All this does not apply to dedicated cyclist roads/lanes, of course.
Google is also a big part of the reason of the poor health of the web.
So people use Uber because it costs less to ride and because it does not allow tipping idea being that companies should pay more. This is a sound logic.
I thought drivers are not employees…

And how many reading books 60 years ago were learning to write them?
Re:Uber Executive, Linked to an Old Harassment Claim, Resigns on Tuesday February 28, 2017 @07:14AM (#13753168)
That was not a serious question. I just wonder wher it all leads. Immune system, when it has nothing to do starts to attack the body itself.
1) It is much easier to stay on Earth than to got into space

2) All the nations have a capability to stay on Earth

Ok, so I should probably get fired for saying "Hi" for the female coworker not on my team: because how do you know where to draw the line?

As opposed to a hundred years ago when these were thriving places?
But I do hear that self driving car has no idea to look for the traffic light if it was not informed beforehand it is here. That does not bring any confidence.

Also, I still don't know what problem is IoT supposed to solve.

Energy is necessary in any process where you want to decrease entropy.

There is also more food than humans need. But there are some starving ones. Distribution is the problem. As for universe, the only meaningful sources are earth and Sun, anything farther away may not exist at all.

Feed the homeless to the starving. Solves two problems at once.

Overpopulation will not be an issue. IIRC we are already past "peak child".
We have already established this is not the case.
Well, maybe we should choose our projects based on time we have for them, instead of using a hammer to drive in a screw?

That environment is still out there.

But 2.25 miles per hour is not fast. And you get 16hours to rest.

I do not feel it is an issue at all. Unless you think that there is some deliberate attempt to prevent blacks and hispanics from joining IT.

Why does some field need to mirror racial/whatever composition of the society? Are you concerned that NBA demobraphics does not represent general demographics?

Re:Inside Uber’s Aggressive, Unrestrained Workplace Culture on Thursday February 23, 2017 @01:32AM (#13712080)
Those do not look like fuckups to me, i. e. things what happened accidentally. They look like the logical outcome of the very same culture and that thing does not change easily.
