No, you're completely on topic : the phenomenon you describe of privatised systematic perpetrator defensive hurdles is called self regulation, which is precisely what SBF was most avidly lobbying for.

Re:Alameda took 1B hit in mobileCoin trade to prop up FTX on Friday December 02, 2022 @03:33PM (#33836496)
That's very quick.

My memory is a little hazy, but the fast prosecution was motivated by covering up structural inefficiencies in CA energy trading created knowingly against considerable objections by politicians, that Enron abused, and not the a priori fraud of propping up their stock for dozens of quarters to be able to trade so massively in the first place.

There's a reason trader turrets handsets and boxes have high resistance non latching push to talk switches. Because both sides of every deal think the other sides just that in the most regulated markets and otc / "self reg" alike.

Exactly, precisely, it's theft not fraud. You can't accuse any of the cockamamie nonsense this inflated and instrumental child concocted of being as sophisticated as fraud. For that you have to look at his sponsors and their patronage.

In another front page discussion is what looks like a emerging consensus that grand larceny like the FTX theft is a function of the non existent fact checking of the media.

What possible motivation could exist for establishing a online reference using the media as the canonical and sole source of truth?

Remember that the SEC exists because a bankrupt banking sector begged the government to give them a fig leaf. If you aren't sure who they serve, go looking for a punitive fine that's been levied and distributed to any victims of financial crime. Gensler appears to have skin in this FTX game personally, natch.
After Glass- Steagal was repealed, structural conflicts of interest putting the totality of supposedly safe deposits at the service of gambling has been standard operating procedure for the street and hence the country.

It's speed already.

Intel is offering customer silicon on their latest architecture. So you could be ambitious and design your own block with as much SRAM as you can sacrifice other accelerator units for, depending on routing latency.

Edit: customer not custom, small difference but important if you're asking..

Because unless you're tall enough (and quick enough) to dunk like you're dropping it, lower angles give you more opportunity to underspin off the board getting the net more often.

Each of your two caricatures exhibit obsessive traits that should be disqualifications for any multivariate layered and strategic responsibility.

In my working life I've found, in balanced environments that your exception proves the rule, but I don't personally consider the start-up and tech capitalism economy balanced.

This is my favourite ever episode of This American Life, about NUMMI, the shop floor level and individually fraternal miracle that was created by workers at Toyota and GM in a CA GM plant, until management shut them down:

Removing the audit trail and reporting from accounts probably turns this into theft according to the definition of the intention to permanently deprive, which forethought hence mens rea is satisfied by plural compounding acts of concealment.
