I'd definitely love to see all Apps using the current native look and feel.
But what is the ask here? straight sharp corners on everything ?
I think this would be a good guard on websites to use it as another content protection layer.
Are the tests getting harder and harder so the older AIs look worst and the new ones look like they are "almost there" ?
GPL-wise, I don't know how much is inspiration vs "based on" would this be, it'd be interesting to compare.
This looks like my Company peers, as long as there is any existing implementation they are pretty confident they can deliver, poor suckers that do the "no one has done it before" first pass don't get any recognition.
and there is Mac Catalyst (iOS on Mac) and Mac support.
what am I missing ? that this uses a raw stream ?
well, I have news for you, the people with experience are also using AI too and they can still produce better and more than you do.
Hopefully the ones you let go are not impacting the pool of actual required skills and knowledge.
TBH, I think most people wouldn't care, specially in USA, it is way easier and cheaper to replace than to repair, workmanship is really expensive here.
But If a manufacturer shuts down a Cloud service that bricks my device they should open the interfaces and protocols to make them functional.
Don't get me wrong, we are moving to commoditization, as any new tech it'd be transparent to our lifestyle and a lot of money will be done as an industry, but it'd be hard to compete as a core business competence w/o cheating (and by cheating I mean your FANG company already has a competitive advantage)
You are free to try it, it's over the counter, no one is oppressing you here, Darwin is your friend.
Apple keeps good or great things as their are: Apple is loosing its edge look how other are so innovative.
Apple takes some risk and go bold on things: Why changing things?
At the end everyone else complaining would just follow and copy.
Rinse and repeat, bring the eyeballs and the money to my btching site or profile.
If a "new industry thing" is far superior and what customers want, why other vendors don't do it?
Now, if government sees a benefit in driving and sharing technology I'd be happy the government would actively participate in R&D.
There are some rural places in the Mountains in places not so far from America where they harass and rape teachers, doctors or any government service employees.
The national census always struggles how to safely and practically reach those places.
The man behind the curtain here has an army of engineers, unlimited cloud nodes and basically has harvested all the data currently available in the world.
It doesn't get any better than this right now.
What's next? They'll ping you later on Linked-in with this awesome idea that you need to make sure runs in a $1 USD microcontroller with a rechargeable battery that is supposed to last at least all day.
The actual scary stuff is the dilution of expertise, we contributed for a long time to share our knowledge for internet points (stack overflow, open source projects, etc), and it has been harvested by the AIs already, anyone that pays access to these services for tens of dollars a month can bootstrap really quickly and do what it might had needed years of expertise before.
It will dilute little by little our current service value, but you know what, it has always been like this forever, it is just faster.
In the meantime, learn to automate the automator, that's the way to get ahead.
