Let’s hope that continued data center debt sell pressure further squeezes Larry.

This is what media concentration risk becomes… media control.
Re:More on Anthropic's Scion ripping off Mononoke on Thursday October 15, 2026 @02:15PM (#50107839)
You also register -openai -deepmind -meta and -xsi
Because they are, I pay anthropic 200 a month, if I were paying by the token like an enterprise it would be close to 11 grand a month. Yes I use 100 percent of my allocation on every window.
In fairness, the US probably watched it fall off the back of a truck.

He did support Tommy Robinson and the 2025 British anti-immigration protests… some can view that as a form of racism, especially calling London’s demographic shift a “demographic nightmare” eroding Britain’s national identity.
As much of it as possible is done by rail, it’s the last mile problem.

Unless it’s last minute which a surprising amount of it is, but consumers love overnight access to stuff

Re:AI safety is mostly a sex cult in Berkeley, CA [pdf] on Saturday October 03, 2026 @06:29PM (#49948412)
EA is basically a nerd sex cult and these humans while great at raising capital are the younger Epstine class.

Absolutely this.
Re:Show HN: Sigabrt.dev – cronjob monitor with an SSH TUI on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @03:52AM (#49797913)
Are you kidding? It’s how we discover things that are similar and yet not seen before, it’s not about shade on anyone’s or agents work
Re:Stripe said to abandon $50B pursuit of PayPal on Thursday August 27, 2026 @10:21PM (#49473618)
Diligence told them they’re buying a almost dead payment processor with ancient tech. Customer lists are worth something but not that much.
Re:Compromising Signal's Contact Discovery Enclave (SGX) on Thursday August 27, 2026 @10:07PM (#49473546)
At least the open alternatives can be fuzzed, intel minix and intel ME are other examples of NSA exploitware
Re:Claude Code uses Bun written in Rust now on Sunday July 19, 2026 @03:18PM (#48970921)
They’re just wildly successful terrible engineers who can describe problems well and have unlimited token budgets. If they were paying for their own token use, the software would be better, they simply don’t have financial incentive to be more performant.

A dirty secret of AI data centers are that they’re only getting 40-60% efficiency out of their GPU clusters and because the moneygun go brrrrr they just buy more.

You wonder why they’re so afraid of the Chinese competition… they can’t afford to be as wasteful

Can we normalize a healthy 4th amendment posture? It’s wild that the Peter Thiel “don’t tread on me” folks are so cool with a China like police state.
Re:DeepSeek aims to make its own AI chip on Thursday July 09, 2026 @09:57PM (#48854855)
I’m considering moving my family to China to be proximate and to witness the next rise of a superpower. I was too young for the 80’s US computer boom, and in collage for the .com one. The Web 2.0 rise only produced a small handful of winners. China seems boundless.
Elon’s invisible hand strikes again.
Or you have data that HIPAA, GDPR, PII, or have to care about the concern of others training on your data.
Cool beans boomer alarmist stance. The Chinese models here are doing what they’re supposed to price the market accordingly.
So you’re telling me these cells operate independently like distributed Ethereum nodes and L2s… got it.
Hint: NSA said no.
Re:Claude Fable 5 on Tuesday June 09, 2026 @03:29PM (#48466424)
Wait till you kick the tires of Qwen Coder.
Afghanistan didn’t have poppy production till it was allowed by the Bush administration. Their primary exports were food stuffs but it was easy to spoil the Iranians and Russians with cheap drugs that ruin society. This was patterned after the british opium wars but done at a funky scale. Now our chickens have come to roost now that pill based pain medication has gotten so hard… life finds a way.
Great reference there…
Re:Delve Removed from Y Combinator on Saturday April 04, 2026 @12:56AM (#47635904)
Ya it’s a total write down, I dunno how much they took from YC, if it was the standard deal this is just the cost of doing business.
This is the hacker way. Well done to the strong and hearty Ukrainians making solutions for complicated times!
Basically Google has a LI console.
