This is sarcasm right? All those institutes are currently failing.

Finally! I have been asking for this since the US started to lose its mind. Great they are listening.

Ticketmaster does this, and they are still around.
Re:Gmail thinks I'm stupid, so I left on Wednesday June 03, 2026 @05:40AM (#48381878)
Because Fastmail has a fantastic Web UI, have been using it for years.
The service in Europe is great in many many places. My experience with US service is that it feels very fake most of the time. Plus, staff having their own table/zone means you cannot ask any other waiter to help out cause "it's not their table". That's one of the many problems with this tip culture.

I agree with the tiered pricing argument, but ehm, you know you are allowed to tip in Europe also right? If you are rich and feel benevolent, feel free to leave cash on the table. You don't need others to be forced into dark-pattern PIN machines or feel guilty for not paying more than the bill for that reason.

Isn't this what Helium is doing? I have been using it as daily driver for half a year, works a charm. Only would like better 1Password integration.
His point is that the United States is the country acting in a hostile fashion.
You know we kids did perfectly fine before there was social media? The point is, arguably we did a lot better.
Re:How I block all online ads on Monday December 08, 2025 @02:07AM (#46189292)
Note that using Helium, you can use a Chromium based browser and still enjoy uBlock Origin properly.
That sounds like the behavior of the Eco program, which is often the default.

If there was ever a game to play with KB+M, this is it. I don't get the need to stuff everything into a handheld. It's not Mario kart!
Pangolin also uses WireGuard and does not lock features behind a paywall.

There's been plenty Republican presidents who did evil things and mixed it up with acceptable or even positive change. Trump is the first one who's actually an evil fascist at heart. That's the difference.

Just use Proxmox, it's fantastic for many vMware use-cases.
Calling Elon a criminal is a going a bit far perhaps. But he does own it still.
Re:My Overkill Home Network – Complete Details 2023 on Friday August 11, 2023 @04:09AM (#37086276)
How is it an act? Caring about the climate is clearly morally superior than not doing so.

Stick to Opnsense, it is better software that is better managed with a clean historical sheet.

That's minimum $60 p/m, a bit steep.

You know, you don't need to drink from or swim in the pond right?
Stealthy dig at the European military acquisition strategy :)
You're misunderstanding the concept of Mastodon.
I have been a paying customer for years, and I don't expect to ever leave. My favorites are: - DNS capabilities - Friendly and fast customer support - Great, smooth, pretty UI on all platforms
Re:Laws of Software Estimation for Complex Work on Tuesday December 20, 2022 @04:42AM (#34063729)
If you think building a house and writing complex software are in any way similar, you simply do not work on complex software, nor manage teams in this sector.
Strongly disagree regarding 1Password, their client is continually improving and it is IMHO by far the best password managing service now, I have tried most of the other ones before it. Really have no issues with their Electron switch, I didn't even notice it, still fast!
Firefox will not go awry, read the actual facts in this thread.
We're talking about commuter bikes, replacing a car...a good Speedelec is indeed 6k-10k Euros.
And then you get hit by the car, even though the light was green. Doesn't help you, does it?
Come on, it's really unlikely this show will be worse than the Hobbit movie.
