Not goood, says buy to domains that obviously aren't available.

Bumble nor any dating app like that doesn't want users copying and pasting the profile info externally as a matter of business.

Multiple reasons Could be because they don't want a record of that elsewhere. Like teens sharing with friends.

Don't want people copy pasting text to use on other profiles. So using someone else's account profile story.

I meant the city as a short code I used the airport code.

Maybe it's more of an anecdote than based on facts, it looks like burglaries are actually down in San Francisco now

For profit prisons are the worst, it should be a state responsibility not a for profit company.

Especially with all the race issues in imprisonment.

Re:Is a movie prop the ultimate laptop bag? on Monday September 22, 2025 @09:07AM (#45332909)
No it is not ultimate it is a sad state of things that one is so worried about laptop bags being stolen that you have to hide it and make it inconspicuous in a paper bag.

It's really sad that SFO is now the car burglary capital of the world.

Absolute bollocks, do you actually know anything about India and what's happening in the last 10 years. Easy being a keyboard warrior when you don't have to provide any justification.
Oh no they did write that one piece of software, which was successful until it wasn't.

We're saying that after every single recommendation you should make it bloody clear that you are profiting from this and how much? So people can make the independent decision about whether your 'reasearxh' is to be trusted or thrown in the garbage like it is.

We recommend software products too but don't hide behind euphemisms and hide our commissions.

Re:I tried every top email marketing tool on Sunday November 17, 2024 @12:54PM (#42165628)
I never bloody saw it , until it was pointed out in the comments here.

Change the title to I checked out a few email marketing tools and here's the one that pays me the biggest and the longest affiliate commissions.

Sneaky, I almost trusted this til I reached the comments that this just another pretty looking affiliate spam

Re:I tried every top email marketing tool on Sunday November 17, 2024 @09:38AM (#42164397)
Amazing just more proof that op of flawed
Re:I tried every top email marketing tool on Sunday November 17, 2024 @09:35AM (#42164381)
And you wouldn't know this incentive until it was through comments here.

The listicle tried to paint every other company making money as a scourge and the op as the only good guy trying to find the best deal for users when ophas the most corrupt incentives since those incentives are not even documented in a bloody helpdesk article somewhere.

Re:I tried every top email marketing tool on Sunday November 17, 2024 @09:32AM (#42164369)
Affiliate marketing spam listicle, presented as something that it's not.

Just spam..

Re:I tried every top email marketing tool on Sunday November 17, 2024 @09:30AM (#42164362)
This is completely ridiculous dude, Op you are so critical of everyone else trying to make a buck don't you think there should be a bloody big disclaimer/ acknowledgement about your own twisted incentives there.

Ohhhh and on this step we eliminated all the companies that don't have an affiliate program.. hmm but we'll say it's because they don't have feature x....

Anyone know of good windows alternatives for this?
Re:Wait Until 8th on Thursday October 31, 2024 @05:20PM (#42011644)
Wouldn't it be simpler to implement an Mobile device management app / overlay that restricts all actions but the select few.

Phone calls / SMS to 5 numbers Clock enforce GPS on until battery is less than 20 No smart phone functions No data access

It wasn't even that expensive. Ada security audit from tekta in Spain was under 4k.

There's nothing like a racket here. The list of certification agencies goes from KPMG at top end to smaller companies.

Re:End of the Road for Google Drive in Transmit on Tuesday October 08, 2024 @04:01PM (#41781251)
We've done it too, first time it was hard but it's required and recommended.

It raises the bar for low effort hackers and improves security.

I disagree with the op. Sorry mate go through the casa audit and get the access .

Re:I Made a Rubbish Clock on Saturday September 28, 2024 @08:03AM (#41679710)
Why?

Doesn't your council give a fridge magnet which has the dates in the calendar printed clearly?

Why overcomplicate?

Re:Our Android App Is Frozen in Carbonite on Friday September 27, 2024 @12:03AM (#41666133)
Casa approval is a necessary step, we have gone through that for one of our apps approval that requires Google drive write access.

Yes you are essentially asking users to give a whole lot of information because giving access to Google drive technically also gives access to a lot of the Gmail attachments because people tend to save them in Google drive.

You can't fault Google with being trying to be too careful. If you think this was painful try accessing the shopify marketplace.

Yeah it is ridiculous to see all of the "employees" complain so heavily about one important work email that comes over the weekend, when the business patiently puts up with hundreds of personal phone calls, time spent scrolling on the phone, hacker News / Reddit posts and much more.

There needs to be a little bit more of a give and take. If employees are not expected to receive a single phone call or email outside of working hours. Would it be acceptable if the same restrictions were placed on personal calls and emails during working hours?

How many of the same people would be screaming murder, if their bosses came to them and complained about them taking personal email during work time.

If you can't fire employees who refuse to perform at the level required or show a commitment for that then it was very right to be fired.

The staff member had a choice, agree to an increased level of commitment or decline, he obviously declined.

If companies can't decide who stays on or not, then definitely they would be more hesitant to invest / movel locations to Ireland.

This will take time and certainly one of the things considered among a thousand others when choosing a location!
