I have a few qualms with this phone:

For an Android user, you can already build such a system yourself quite trivially by getting two phones, attaching them with a small hinge or case, and using an app to synchronise content between the displays. From a laptop or tablet, the same applications and files could be accessed through existing cloud services

Maybe a stupid question but aren't the Amish essentially this thought process put into practice?

They aren't able to outcompete their neighbouring societies economically yet are in no way impoverished, and in many cases actually come out on top by many QOL/health metrics.

Exactly, this policy is from a government that taxed tobacco products so much that cigarettes are now cheaper than they have ever been in ~15 years because the black market stepped in and have nearly completely taken over the market.

I usually see people preferring to use the self service in McDonalds or supermarkets when given the option of either, so the consumer must find some benefit to it.

> You don't need to care about this when using SSDs/HDDs.

You do need to care when you move beyond a single server in a closet that runs your database, webserver and storage.

> No risk of leaking files due to misconfigured cloud services.

One misconfigured .htaccess file for example, could result in leaking files.

Was he ever convicted on conspiracy to murder?

Because in my opinion the ethics of operating a drug ring is not as black as white as you state.

The existence of drug rings is an inevitable outcome from the war on drugs and I would argue the blame lands on the politicians who maintain the status quo that incentivises the creation of the black market for drugs.
