Edit: I am wrong about the license

They are saying since 1880 because that's when they started keeping an official record

It seems banana for scale didn't come around for another 10 years
It is more local than talking to chat GPT directly. Open AI stores all your requests on their server. This saves it on your computer. The title also claims it's a UI which always, for now, runs locally.

Re:North Korean ICBM launch detected using GPS on Sunday November 27, 2022 @10:08AM (#33763393)
That question implies that they couldn't land a nuke in Japan or South Korea currently. I think their current rockets have that capability.
This app is profit seeking.

Re:Why are American workers becoming harder to find? on Sunday June 06, 2021 @10:55PM (#27418519)
No one is happy with the American Healthcare System unless you have America's exclusive socialized Healthcare, Tricare. You're also calculating it off of part time hours.
Might as well make it so people can't speculate on stocks or commodities.
I didn't know Russia / China were so easily provoked.

I'd recommend looking at the history of the articles. These events have been reported for several years. And at least publicly nobody knows what is causing it.

Re:Show HN: I made a simulator for personal finance on Wednesday April 28, 2021 @01:06PM (#26971674)
I had to create a small simulator[0] a few months ago to figure out my personal finances for my first job and to figure out how early I could move out without acquiring debt. I wanted to compare different options so I could weigh the impact of my decisions on how much money I could save.

I like the idea of plans but they feel a bit bulky to use and you can't compare them. If you could directly compare plans against each other I think I would find it more useful. Also making them faster to create could be nice. I can change all the defaults in the actual view so why force me to go through the pages?

I do like the stacked breakdown of each plan and the behind the scenes calculation of taxes, investing and inflation.

For products with a flat rate, the people who use it less are subsidizing it for people who use it more too. Would you say there is a problem with that?
Re:Statement on New York Times Article on Sunday February 14, 2021 @12:44AM (#26130006)
A major problem in that is proving intent. How do you prove the New York times was intentionally misleading their audience to cause damage?
