That's not necessarily bad. It could be a sign of effective prioritization. If you're good at working on the most important thing, and suddenly find yourself 24% more productive, what extra are you working on? The things that wouldn't have quite made the cut before.
At work I have a Leopold Tactile Touch "Otaku" Keyboard (http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=leopold,fullsize&...). The switches are Cherry MX Brown, which are quieter but not as satisfying. The build quality on this keyboard isn't quite as solid either.
I don't think Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate had a Brown MX ultimate at the time I bought the Leopold or I probably would have bought that. If noise is an issue I also recommend keyboard landing pads (https://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=access,slpads&pi...).
Both keyboards are blank which has made me a better typist. I also enjoy the reaction it gets when people come to my desk.
If you're not managing your project in such a tool then you should be. If you're not breaking your job into small enough tasks that the chart looks reasonable then you should be doing that too. Both these things will force you to come up with better estimates and give you a record to learn from to provide better records in the future.
I'm sure the project maintainer isn't aware of the controversy, but he or she should consider changing the name. A fledgling library needs all the help it can get with getting hung up on something so unconnected.
Also, reading a paragraph wrong doesn't make a person a combative jerk. Nor does being critical.
That's a neat trick, limiting your blog post to people who won't be critical of it.
I think Facebook and Google have lulled us into a false, unquestioning expectation that online services are free; when really we should be suspicious of any company claiming to offer a free service.
One of the footnotes at the bottom is a big giveaway. "Yes, I did start my footnotes from a zero-index. I like zero-based arrays over one-based arrays." Drawing attention to how programmer-like you are doesn't convey that confidence.
Fortunately for this kid confidence is something that usually comes with age. I know it did for me.
