This is by far hilarious and sad. You have an interesting way to tweak facts and transform the narrative.

You could make a career out of it (if you haven't done so).

If this is something for Tell HN I'm wondering what's next.

By the way, I'm in my period, I'm impure. I can't Eid Mubarak :(

I hope you're not using only the wheat production of a country to formulate your answer on this.

The same Stripe we read complains and Tell HN stories every month ...
I've been using WezTerm for a year more or less and haven't had any problems so far. Whenever I want anything fancy I just go to the docs or dig through the Github repo (issues, PRs, etc) and that's all I need.

I just couldn't stand the petulant attitude of Alacritty's maintaner(s) and it didn't take much to find something else. Although I can't give this for granted now I haven't seen there's the same sort of behavior on WezTerm.

Is this Remote US or Remote Global?
Re:Tell HN: Coinbase is a joke (product and support) on Friday January 20, 2023 @04:40AM (#34450807)
That would be my first thought. Never had a problem with it.

Compilation won't tell you whether your code follows the business logic it's intended to do. You do need to rely on tests even if the implementation of the programming language compiles it or not.
"Ukrainians claiming something doesn’t make it true"

Claiming what specifically?

"Here's an example of ..."

From how many examples? And what exactly do you see it's happening on the only video?

Asking just to understand what's the point you're trying to make.

Re:Ask HN: Developer abused “sign in with GitHub”? on Friday December 09, 2022 @05:04PM (#33926966)
Follow up of this. The nopecha.com site does not have a Github sign in anymore (only Google at the moment). Looking through Github the organization nopecha seems to have been deleted and all its repositories return a 404 from Github, and seems to have been moved to a different organization recently created (and kept as public) Can't avoid feeling curious what has happened.
"Telegram has no ties to Russia", this sounds like a statement. How sure are you of this?
That's not the only way money can end up in Russia. Having employees there is a simple one.
Re:Putin grants Russian citizenship to Edward Snowden on Monday September 26, 2022 @03:14PM (#32987049)
That might apply to Peskov's son, I don't see how it's valid for Snowden.

The only use of Snowden I can imagine so far is the same they gave to Medvechuk during last week.

Explain the difference between Putin's regime and the Russian population.
Care to elaborate?
Re:Ask HN: What games are you playing? on Thursday May 05, 2022 @06:02AM (#31271469)
Call of Duty Warzone. It's free
Re:Ask HN: What games are you playing? on Thursday May 05, 2022 @06:02AM (#31271466)
I used to play Pokemon Trading Card, the game, and started to realized I didn't have any chance on getting good cards from the packs I got for free. Like if you don't pay they make the game real difficult, doesn't this happen with Magic?

Benefiting from something doesn't mean you won't suffer losses anyway. At this point which Russian company isn't performing negatively different since the day of the invasion?
90% of 140 millions of inhabitants is certainly a big number. Your example is quite extreme and might reflect that the country is completely out of context.
Is the leetcode grind necessary to land a high paying remote job?

No. Why? There are companies that know what they do, have a good founding/income and they're willing to pay well if you can make a good impact in the company.

What does it have to do with Leetcode? Nothing. They can give you a development assignment when you're going to use technologies they use every day, the ones you're supposed to be used to and for problems they might be facing right now, saw before or they're expected to overcome probably soon.

What would a Leetcode interview give you instead? I'm all ears.

There are companies that send you generic Leetcode or any type of problems to solve in a couple of hours and you never see a face, nor know more about the business you're suppose to be working for the next time if you perform well (I'm looking at you Sumo Logic/Toptal). I wouldn't even bother if that's the case.

Leave leetcode and related just for newcomers and people learning CS. Isn't viable in most of the cases for day-to-day problem scenarios.
