Yes its obviously a thin wrapper over the core too; many timing bugs can be seen.
Re:Redesigning Source Control at Anthropic on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @03:04PM (#50093182)
Honestly it does not matter provided u develop tests that show success. D u really care how its coded if it is amazingly fast efficient and solves the problem? Maybe in some projects but not all.

Re:Type Safe Generic Data Structures in C on Monday October 05, 2026 @01:02PM (#49967460)
Its rather hard to introduce c++ into legacy c projects. You basically have to decide on a subset of features to use, and then you'll have to explain to the teams why the same looking code now takes 10x more compute to build.

Usually the way we do it here is we honor some interface then rewrite the subsystem in c++.

And then there's the real hurdle and that is getting the c++ idiom correct as it is very easy to just open the floodgates and let everyone write code that looks vastly different.

Re:VSCode's SSH Agent Is Bananas (2025) on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @07:13PM (#49823947)
Honestly now that I'm basically dictating ai on what to do I've really stopped using all guis. Terminal is all I need.

Re:The title cards in Blade Runner are amazing on Wednesday August 05, 2026 @09:15PM (#49191216)
As good as that track is its literally his only good stuff. Try as I might, and as eager as I was to like him his library of music just falls flat.

Re:Costco Is the Anti-Amazon on Saturday July 04, 2026 @02:25AM (#48783091)
Forget Costco and Amazon it's all about Walmart. They are killing it with local from store delivery and they are more local then Costco. They will win at the end of the day.

Re:Claude Code Just Got 5x More Expensive on Tuesday June 30, 2026 @09:51PM (#48741497)
I have one Claude doing triple duty: helping with side gigs, supporting my corporate job when the company-provided Claude tokens run out at lightning speed, and helping me develop a startup on the side, which I’m literally just voicing into existence.

At $260 a month, it’s a bargain.

I’d pay double without blinking.

Re:Why Is Claude Turning into an a**Hole? on Sunday June 14, 2026 @11:20PM (#48536200)
Last I checked u can just dictate exactly what u want the llm to be concerned with and flatly dismiss any pushback as being out of scope of the intended goal.
Re:WSL 2 is getting faster Windows file system access on Thursday June 04, 2026 @10:48PM (#48407366)
WSL1 was really really fast! It was quite unique system too totally customized for the Linux kernel and windows interfacing!

Was really disappointed when WSL2 came along and just virtualized everything; fs performance took a shit.

Anyway I don't care about windows these days, all Linux all the time.

I made a magic_enum abi stub for this: https://github.com/psyclobe/magic-enum-reflect
Cause its dead simple. Shell out, run a quick sed or something, then compile it in. It is quite amazing what 'magic meta' stuff you can do with that shit. Meanwhile 10 years in we are finally getting reflection.....
They are gross but... effective so shrug
Pretty much. Was hoping it would've been a 'reflection slam dunk' but no... same 'ol same 'ol.
Absolutely spot on, easier, and way more effective
Man that aucks was looking forward to some kind of speed improvement. Using magic enum atm and I guess we'll continue to do so.

C++ build times are hard pill to swallow when migrating from c. This is just another reason we'll probably stick to writing c as t the company where I work. It's like asking someone to give up instant compilation for cleaner easier to read apps?

Also now that we have cleanup handlers in c (destructors) even less of a reason to move...

The guy won't shutup he's just foaming st the mouth babbling on and on its like enough we've seen this a million times the show sucks!
My well being is judged now by whether I took the time to watch a movie with my daughter, take my son out to fly a rc plane and so forth... so easy to dig into the daily grind ... not sure what life is about but I sure a shit know misery it born from abandoning your kids and the sickness that brings inside is insidious.

If I do nothing both will be in their rooms all day. Makes me sick.
