A website I miss was a bullshit corporate jargon generator from Scott Adams. There were 3 columns with corporate jargon. And every time you refreshed the page, a new 3-word phrase would be highlighted. They were the most ridiculous phrases. But one could imagine them being used.
Chrome's "tab group" feature is awesome and it ended my issue with unaddressed and open tabs. It even works on Chrome for Android mobile.
Simply fantastic. In my obscure little city, I've already discovered a bunch of historic places I had no idea about.
Must have been a high trust society.
Is 'bouba' pronounced 'bowba', 'bohba', or 'booba'? And why isn't it spelled like that instead?
There are a few people like this. They constantly eavesdrop on everyone and everything around them (via tools).
I knew a guy who, in the 1990's, had "gator spying tool" installed on his work PC, and then would casually invite people to use his PC (not everyone had a work PC back then), and then snag their passwords. And then spy on their private email. Was dumb enough to tell me, and then tried to get me to use his PC. No thank you bruh.
HomeView will make it more feature-ful. I hope.
Have they solved the problem where a cheating husband's texts with his mistress on his iPhone used to show up on his wife's iPad?
> "Ask yourself 'would I buy this today?'"
How would I buy a notebook filled with my thoughts from 20 years ago, today?
Why isn't the author worried about sending her/his ideas to DeepSeek online (instead of hosting it and using it locally)?
Remember, it's only "manufactured consent" when it's about something they don't like.
Did you take it to Tonga with you?
AI has them badly shook.
I have the Gemini Pro subscription. The quality of its outputs are sometimes below those from the free version of Grok.
Hope they catch-up.
There's the town of Hot Springs.
They've commercialized the heck out of it. All the streams on public land have been dynamited (or so I was told), and there's the commercial facility that charges around $20 for a soak. That's South Dakota for you.
Someone recently fined Facebook $17 Billion. It was on the front page of NYT for 6 days (like as if it was a huge "get").
About 1% of FB's market cap. And their sins get washed away.
Everybody wins.
At this rate, fining tech-cos will be a major source of revenue for governments. Everybody wins.
So many misconceptions in this writeup.
Here's one: even if it were genetic, there could be triggering environmental factors that trigger the onset of autism (I'm just giving a hypothetical example, not making a claim here).
It says to read the complete history. Would that be analogous to reading all of one's chat threads, or just the history of the relevant chat thread that it's a part of?
I like seeing Serif fonts on the screen for some reason.
Public posts on the internet are acceptable (to me).
For my (private) prompts, I need a warning telling me they may be used for training.
There is no fine-print (let alone a loud banner) on the chat thread page that tells me my prompts can be used for training.
Only after reading this post did I learn that my preferred AI trains on my inputs (prompts).
How was I not aware of this before?
can this clue be circumvented by using magnets oriented in a certain way around the workshop while constructing the pottery?
I love this. We need more whimsy. Unfortunately, refinement culture is taking over. Even the new McDonald's design is "private equity" refined.
this was in response to: "can I release the results?"
You are not wrong.
I wonder how it manages to find the middle ground in controversial topics. My own extreme views have become somewhat moderated thanks to reading AI-LLM opinions and reasonings on the topics.
This is where the Gemini "ask about this page" button on Chrome comes handy.
It was about 1 meter long (as another commenter pointed out) and lived around 400 million years ago.
Because mom is not around, so now he can go where he wants? You must believe that people in society follow all the expectations? Especially children?
