Re:Tor usage doubles in under a week, and no one knows why on Thursday August 29, 2013 @06:26PM (#6299015)
I started to use the Tor browser bundle this week. Manly because of the whole NSA/Snowden thing. Plus Tor was a lot in the news from the Freedom Hosting take down, so I was reminded several times that I should test it out.

Maybe many others experienced the same? At list I have had enough. Obama is tracing me no more!

Re:How one man turns annoying cold calls into cash on Thursday August 29, 2013 @08:16AM (#6295368)
Spam filters are long overdue on phones. Thankfully where I live now someone has made an app that automatically filters out telemarketers.

It uses a crowdsourced list. Firs I set it to only warn my when of thus telemarketers called, but it worked so well that I now just block them automatically. Haven’t had to talk to a telemarketer in 4 month :)

Re:Java 6 exploit found in the wild on Tuesday August 27, 2013 @09:59AM (#6283435)
All thus security issues in Java is bad enough, but the whole ask toolbar thing makes it even worse. Java should be auto updating as default. Instead they make us go thru the same wizard again and again, with only on goal; hope someone makes a mistake and install the ask bar.

Make my wonder if there other products may be dangerous too.

It is hard to read and some delay when moving around for me also.

It is nice as a demonstration on how the web may look like in 3 years, but personally I prefer tables and graphs when viewing statistics. Has anyone seen a link to a “classic” view?

Re:Feedly pro - available for all on Monday August 26, 2013 @12:13PM (#6277945)
Available for all, at $5 per month you mean. There is a subtle differences between "all" and "all that can pay", isn't it :)
Re:The Banned Hashtags of Instagram on Monday August 26, 2013 @11:40AM (#6277711)
The n-word is banned. Apparently one can test for this one self by searching her: https://hashpix.herokuapp.com/

If the word is banned you will get an error message saying "Instagram: (400) APINotAllowedError-This tag cannot be viewed" at the top.
