Why doesn't your company just get each of them a 20€ subscription instead of paying per token?

In Canada, Bell has actually discontinued battery backup in their latest modems, supposedly because they were having trouble with modems not rebooting correctly.

Sanctioning people who try to hack your system is part of making it hack-proof.

No you don't, Claude subscriptions allow headless use (either via claude -p or by wrapping the session) for personal use.
T3 does it this way.

I'm not sure, I just inherited it. But there's some things like analytics that can only really run in the browser so that might be why.

Once for SSR, once for client-side; for each entry view.

We use nextjs at work and I hate it. Why write each view once when you could write it twice?
I'm open to the idea that we're doing it wrong and that there's a correct and pleasant way to write nextjs, but I think with the tools available today, everyone should just profile and optimize their app so they don't need to render it serverside.

My girlfriend deliberately watches the extra ads to get in-game rewards, so I can't even pihole the whole home network unless I exclude her phone. (I find that most of these games work fine if you block ads, but they also don't give you the rewards for watching an ad that never loaded.)

Yes, but in the end that's not their fault, and in a sense it's good that this happened. It was well understood from the invention of security certificates that private keys might leak and certificates will need to be revoked. Systems that were not designed with this in mind should never have been deployed, and should now be decommissioned and replaced.
It might even be sensible to intentionally revoke a small number of certificates every month, to make sure nobody is complacent.

Apps can integrate into iMessage, there's an API. You're thinking of sending and receiving actual iMessage messages as a full user, which they can't do.

Unless the magical code generation machine can update packages that are no longer being updated, this isn't really a problem that can be solved with magical code generation.

I think we're a breakthrough away. I don't think processing power is an issue. A 7B model has a lot of cruft (like knowledge of code syntax) that a character sim doesn't need. It should be possible to extract just the relevant parts of a larger and more powerful model and run it with the same resources you would run a general 7B model. We just don't have the ability to isolate and extract weights like that yet.
