It's all about process. If you have a good process in mind, you can build a system that can reliably do everything.Artificial intelligence is now the engine to do that. With the correct harnessing, you can do anything now
Re:Ask HN: Are you tired too in this AI era? on Friday October 30, 2026 @06:19AM (#50301958)
I agree with your observation. If I have kept the same targets as before, of course I would be working less. But being able to do more means being more ambitious. But the competition is also growing so in general the pattern is everybody works more
Re:We detect frontier model misalignment on Thursday October 29, 2026 @04:51PM (#50295723)
A very important word is missing at the beginning of this title
I have solved this problem by forcing the model to compress every time by specifying token budgets for the documents
Can confirm that. Major scars and my first broken bone on my third time taking the bike. And I liked it a lot when I was younger.Never had the courage to buy myself a motorcycle but realized that I was going way faster than even my in my car with my bike. Love the thing
Re:AI agent fixed the bug, but what else did it change? on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @02:52PM (#50185742)
Trying to make AI do what you want just with instructions didn't work for me. In a new system I am designing, I've implemented a set of algorithmic checks to make sure that every to-do affects only the area it needs to and does not create deltas which are unintended. I developed a system of fingerprinting pieces of code to not do the checks every time as well for performance reasons. It's working great so far and I'm building more and more layers of algorithmic checks and the model is beginning to work extremely well with it. I am now able to fill out a limited to-do list and be absolutely certain that only the pieces that I wanted were changed and nothing was broken. Maybe it's nothing new for most of you, but it added so much more confidence in my results in this new system, which will be a hundred percent AI generated. I was very tired with the old way of doing this by relying only on a set of loops and instructions. In it was never giving me this feeling of confidence that I have in this new system I'm developing. I could write about it if there is interest

Not fully relevant to the comment, but I've noticed that most motion sickness issues derive from an FOV which is too low.Big companies set it lower for performance reasons I guess, but on PC I always loved to crank it. And it's not about sitting closer or about the distance in itself, it's about the ratio of the size of the screen to the vision field it occupies

I'm feeling weird trusting this. Is there any security review on this project?
Nice font, it reminds me the kind of fonts they are using when showing code in movies
Elgato sells nice ones. I wrote a custom driver so I can avoid using the bloated software that comes with them.Extremely happy with the purchase, that's why I got two.

Reply to everyone, I wasn't criticizing the author, I was just trying to understand what's happening. I am an avid collector of Linus ISOs myself

I don't get it. Is this guy admitting of doing piracy? Is that like a thing you do?

Looks nice but the presentation of the website is terrible.Looks like they are try-harding.Not happy with the copy at all.But the lines of of the car are nice to see. Please Porsche keep it together.
Re:Tiny Little Office on Thursday October 15, 2026 @05:01AM (#50101082)
My recent strategy to design presentations has been to record meetings, summarize them and dump it all in onn agent. It can create something that is pretty much perfect very quickly. It's all about context and giving to agents as much of it. Of course you need to prompt them a lot to focus on specific areas you want, but the extra raw context really does help.
I am having great results by mapping the press to dictate onto my pedal.I have been vibecoding without using my hands for the past four months with great results. It's amazing using the computer without touching it.I can go on for hours with a couple of pedals.I use them to switch windows, dictate and press enter. That's really all you need.
In my own vibe coded implementation during the recordings the live transcript gets sent for validation and allows me to take better decision while in the call itself.I'm using a a small local model for processing. Also like when it detects bullshit told by others in real times so I can immediately reply.Fun
Re:Why Are Coding Agents So Dumb? on Friday October 09, 2026 @05:12PM (#50026617)
I see your point, but even the fact that I can speak to my computer and anything useful happens is still a miracle to me.I don't think I will ever get accustomed to how good the new models are.I just can't keep up.And I do this for a living.Ten hours a day.

A lot can be improved, but this is already so much speed.

Could be fun.made product on top of it.Pro plan is still too much, but free quota is too little.having a hard time balancing my hobby project.Still there's not really many alternatives, so probably we'll stick with it.Decent service.

Re:Made by Mechanical Means on Monday September 28, 2026 @08:44AM (#49877104)
It's all getting abstracted away.Even our computers are.But it's cool to see people continue to pushing the envelope. With the latest models releases, I'm starting to think about what even are humans for now.I guess we will continue evolving and keeping track but with how the models are competent now, I can already be satisfied for the foreseeable future.I don't think I would need anything more. And yet we will continue to push.
I like the way you think.

In my company several(40/200) people have are in the process of getting fired with the explanation that AI will help to fill in. I'm not convinced.
The fact that these tools are capable of doing anything at all is a miracle to me.

I prefer mine to have low emphasis because sometimes comments lie
I remember the days of crypto mining memory intensive tasks do not suffer from TDP reduction as much as game rendering. It's so counterintuitive.I remember getting 96% performance at less than half of TDP with my old AMD card.
