Why can the universe not be infinite and go absolutely indefinitely in every direction?
At least if you are in the USA they do keep epinephrine in the medical kits onboard. It’s an FAA requirement

It’s lose not loose
That’s why I said I’m sure it does exist but based on it only freezing the computer until you reboot it that’s not useful for hackers doing it to make money and doesn’t seem that useful for disruption unless of course you do hack a bigger ad network then I could see it legitimately being disruptive rather than a slight nuisance. It definitely should be fixed though, it’s crazy it’s gone so long with no fix
Re:GNU Radio in the Browser on Friday September 11, 2026 @07:16AM (#49656482)
You can type into the search bar to search for apps on your phone. I don’t really bother with things on my home screen
I just don’t think people are doing malicious ads like that. Like I’m sure it exists but like what’s the point? If you are the malicious person you pay money for ads to freeze someone’s computer and that’s it? It’s not even like you would gain anything from it

If you are on an iPhone you can add a website to the Home Screen and it functions as a dedicated app essentially and the opened instance is treated separately from safari
FWIW I probably 2-5 round trips per year and I’ve never seen a flight attendant spraying anything
As far as I’m aware if you are talking about the Kinzhal it’s a quasi-ballistic missile not really a true hypersonic missile so it’s easy to intercept. They also claim a range of 2000km but that includes the airplane’s range.
That’s mostly what Vermont is like
Re:France to ban unsolicited telemarketing calls on Tuesday August 11, 2026 @06:45AM (#49256094)
That would work well assuming scammers and stuff are actually blocked from spoofing phone numbers
Re:The Ambition Project on Monday August 10, 2026 @07:11AM (#49242160)
I appreciate your optimism but there definitely are bad singers

Black and chrome don’t really look how I would expect
By hoodies do you mean the cotton ones with fleece linings or a lightweight breathable one? If it’s a thicker cotton one I can’t imagine wearing that in summer

To each their own but I thought it was a fun post. I enjoyed seeing a post that wasn’t “AI is terrible” or “Everyone should use AI for everything”

Structural support in the floor? There are people that weigh more than this. It’s only 20 gallons
Re:NYC Apartment Aquaponics on Saturday July 25, 2026 @06:23AM (#49046324)
Seriously, this is a cool project and I’m sure the person had a lot of fun which some people are apparently allergic to.

Some exhausts can sound cool but at someone that lives near a road I don’t think people should subject other people to loud exhausts. Just because someone installed a subwoofer (depending on how the audio was before) doesn’t necessarily mean they are blasting it so loud it is bothering other people. Some cars have pretty horrible stock sound

Great game! I love the timer, I’m just absolutely abysmal at scrabbled letter games
Re:CarPlay Is Additive on Friday July 03, 2026 @07:30AM (#48773772)
When I put in directions on my phone it gives me turn by turn directions in the gauge cluster so I don’t have to look at the center screen as often
Wow that’s a bit harsh. You can’t think of any examples where you may need to send a string to something but want to do it quickly?
Re:I hate soldering existentially on Tuesday May 12, 2026 @07:23AM (#48106701)
It’s quite easy to not burn yourself. I’ve done a fair bit of soldering and it has only happened like twice to me and it wasn’t that bad
Re:Learning the Integral of a Diffusion Model on Wednesday May 06, 2026 @05:47PM (#48042314)
Maybe someone wants to hear from an actual human rather than risk hearing a plausible but potentially incorrect answer from AI
I think with Windows you probably are the customer and the product

No it’s like a mild pressure on some teeth for maybe a day or two but then doesn’t really feel like much

I mean good for you for being able to eat a breakfast of plain soybeans but even if it extends my life a bit I don’t that I could do it.
Congrats on only needing to do an oil change once per year. I need to do 3-4. I’ve done stuff to make it less annoying but I would still love to get an EV as my next car and not need to.

Re:SonyShell – an effort to "SSH into my Sony DSLR" on Thursday September 25, 2025 @09:42AM (#45372543)
Transferring from my D7500 has to crash once the fist time every time when transferring over WiFi before it works. They said they knew about the bug like 5 years ago so I don’t think they are working on it.
