It shows early galaxies forming way faster and bigger than expected, which kind of shakes up the whole dark matter idea. Seems like it supports the MOND theory—that gravity might not work the way we think. Pretty wild, but it’s still up for debate.

Re:Canvas is a new way to write and code with ChatGPT
on Thursday October 03, 2024 @03:26PM (#41734057)
i think chatgpt is not a product but a service like dropbox. i don't say it is useless or can't be sold. it is just a feature for a product. GPT, in itself, is a powerful technology or tool that enhances user experiences in various applications. It provides natural language processing capabilities like answering questions, generating text, assisting with tasks, and so on. However, without a specific context or integration into a larger platform, GPT is more akin to a feature that can improve or enable specific functionalities within products.

openai gpt is a service not a product but canvas is the first product that
openai build. i guess we will see new products in future. canvas is a new product, thats why they didn't introduce it at devday.

in the leadership program, they teach us that if your presence, or aura, isn't steady, nothing else matters. when it is, you find your own charisma, and that's when you can truly be yourself. you can be fun, direct, indirect, extroverted, or introverted—it doesn't matter. but the key is consistency. you need to remain the same in every situation, with every person, and that’s the hard part. this is why attractive people seem to effortlessly navigate any social interaction. in reality, they don't feel like they need to change much at all.

on Monday August 12, 2024 @08:23AM (#41223600)
Europe's high-speed rail isn't perfect, but it's still miles ahead of what we have in the U.S. Sure, there are delays and issues, but it connects cities efficiently and offers a real alternative to flying. Instead of just criticizing, maybe we should focus on how to bring some of those benefits here.

radiocarbon is mostly just guess and most of the headlines are just there for clicks. radiocarbon dating is shows a range like 2000 to 50000 years. headlines takes 50K. radiocarbon date is also acknowledged to be the age of the material, not the date of the manufacture of an item. if item is a rock, mostly they don't know when the art is manufactured.
probably they asked how old is the art and somebody said "it could bew oldest ever found" hence the headline.

Consequently, their sales are thriving—you may dislike this reality, yet their marketing proves more effective. tiktok generation folks, get used to it.
