Re:Tramadol Is Not a Natural Product After All on Tuesday September 16, 2014 @04:12AM (#8323509)
You can't be serious. Are you advocating hydrocodone here which has one of the highest potential for debilitating addiction, so much so actually that it is banned in many countries and no longer available for medical use?

First level .ce-Domains are not available for registration. The domain name is not that important anyway. Residen.se is fine in my opinion.
Re:Mathematics: Came across the following gag. Is it true? on Friday October 19, 2012 @04:12AM (#4672682)
Well, obviously, everything exists in the infinite - somewhere. A completely trivial realization, however.

I think so, too. At least compared to Consolas which I use and prefer.

Re:Vanilla JS, fast, lightweight, cross-platform framework on Sunday August 26, 2012 @02:02PM (#4435697)
wow, the list of the companies using vanilla.js is impressive. if those put their trust in this framework, it surely must be good.
Re:Stephen Covey, "7 Habits" author, dies at 79 on Tuesday July 17, 2012 @12:56AM (#4254158)
Thanks for summarizing the 7 principles here. I am familiar with the book as well. However, I am not sure if I should envy or pity the people who feel their lives so incredibly enriched by them, by the majority of accounts almost bordering on the religious. For myself, they are too obvious, shallow and trivial to really have that positive effect that apparently so many are experiencing.

Re:Surf Air: Unlimited Flights for $1k/mo on Saturday April 07, 2012 @10:36PM (#3812831)
No problem at all. It would only cost you, well, a ridiculous amount of money, most probably several orders of magnitude more than what you are willing/able to pay.

"We’re the tortoises of the animal kingdom" such a beautiful and witty analogy, isn't it?
Re:Google Insights: HN vs. Reddit vs. Digg on Friday December 16, 2011 @01:28AM (#3359727)
I agree. Google doesn't respect the Accept-Language header, just the location. It's really mind-boggling, and that has been the case for ages.
Re:TextMate 2 on Tuesday December 13, 2011 @05:53AM (#3347163)
How this could leak out is really beyond me. I mean can't people keep secrets on the internet anymore? He even asked to NOT RE-PUBLISH THE INFORMATION, and then this.
Re:Why Paying Bribes Should Be Legal on Friday April 01, 2011 @11:12PM (#2398997)
As one commenter on the article pointed out, the scenario described is "extortion", not bribery, so there shouldn't be any legal consequences for the person extorted in such a way anyway. "Most states define extortion as the gaining of property or money by almost any kind of force, or threat of 1) violence, 2) property damage, 3) harm to reputation, or 4) unfavorable government action." bribery is "the receiving or offering any undue reward by or to any person whomsoever, whose ordinary profession or business relates to the administration of public justice, in order to influence his behaviour in office and to incline him to act contrary to his duty and the known rules of honesty and integrity."
Well, if one has to offer "completely" different products at different prices for testing purposes (say product "x", "y", "z") like the author suggests, how can you determine the ideal price for product "x" in the end?
Re:Should I work for free? on Monday January 24, 2011 @06:17AM (#2134877)
well, it is not very clever to host the jpg version on dropbox. she is not getting any (back) link juice this way.

According to his website, guy's a Scot and living on a small island in Thailand, Koh Phangan to be precise. Good luck with taking legal action.
