That's what the flight termination system is for, and thus it'll be exploded remotely instead.

No it's not the tech news that he's saying is bad, it's the ads.

How is this not an outright advertisement?
Based on the name initially I thought Wiretap was a MITM proxy for Wireguard.
Much better name. Initially I thought Wiretap was a MITM proxy for Wireguard.
Re:Hosting SQLite Databases on GitHub Pages on Wednesday October 12, 2022 @07:55PM (#33185392)
Perhaps you could submit updates to the database as diffs and commit them via normal git channels
Re:Hosting SQLite Databases on GitHub Pages on Wednesday October 12, 2022 @07:51PM (#33185354)
Which is still usefull for querying a large database without having to download the entire thing.
Re:Hosting SQLite Databases on GitHub Pages on Wednesday October 12, 2022 @07:49PM (#33185331)
That's a bit misleading. IndexedDB is a standard maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is supported by all major browsers. Web SQL Database was a prior API developed by Apple. But Firefox refused to add support for it and argued against it becoming a standard because it would codify the quirks of SQLite. It was thus deprecated in favor of IndexedDB.

I had a look at your personal site (linked from the one you posed) and I don't know how (or why) you dare to put so much of your personal information online. What's the worst that could happen? I don't know, but identity theft is up there and can have significant consequences.
I would like to think that something like this would by buoyed to the top on most news sites/aggregators but the fact of the matter is that regardless of how much news you read, there's always things going on that you will miss.
I'd like to see that thing shoot drones that aren't hovering in a line, something quick and agile like FPV racing drones.
Re:VPNs, Tor, I2P – how does Nym compare? on Tuesday September 06, 2022 @01:25AM (#32733208)
The author clearly has an agenda, and completely ignores hidden services of Tor which is one of it's most used and secure features.
I've often found Qt GUIs to be bloated and slow. Not sure whether that's brought about by Qt inherent overheads or bad design by those using Qt.

So that's not a single exploit away then

I can't imagine it would. I'm fluent in 4 languages and with each language I learnt the most common phrases and words first.

Ok, do it and report back. Remember, you need to think of the words yourself.

This is how it works in Australia. Taxes are filed online with the government authority (ATO), and everything is pre-filled. You just need verify it's correct and make any claims you want.

PLEASE elaborate, I'm intrigued.

- The search is garbage, and if you are actually able to find what you're looking for, you still can't get the contextual messages around your result.
I usually give an email of the domain I'm visiting, e.g., [email protected] or [email protected], etc.

The common denominator is of course dopamine, and drugs, social media, video games, etc, all offer an easy and reliable hit.

...and that's about the whole article.

You clearly need to be introduced to Apple's ecosystem :)
Re:New SysJoker Backdoor Targets Windows, Linux, and macOS on Tuesday January 11, 2022 @06:43PM (#29900105)
Does Linux? OSX? There's a hundred and one different ways to get Windows to run something at boot, even as an unpriviliged user. So it's not as simple as just monitoring HKCU\..\Run. With Linux at least it's somewhat more limited: Unpriviliged users typeically only have access to cron for running things at boot.

Re:Tor Browser 11.0 on Tuesday November 09, 2021 @05:57PM (#29168696)
I'm not sure if you're aware but Tor has a specific mode for OP's situation, where it disguises traffic by using standard TLS on standard ports which looks no different to any other HTTPS traffic for example, among other things.
Re:Tor Browser 11.0 on Tuesday November 09, 2021 @05:11PM (#29168204)
If you actually looked at the numbers you'd see FF has had fewer security issues than any other major browsers.

Also Torbrowser uses a security-hardened version of FF LTS, so it's pretty useless to assume FF vulnerabilities all apply to Torbrowser.

Tor has long been billed as a tool for journalists to fly under the radar and avoid persecution, but it's great to hear these case studies from the horse's mouth. Thanks to you and other journalists who risk life and limb to report on and within these abusive regimes.
Yep, I would say so
