I don't. I understand it, and if there's anything I don't, I ask it about it and research until I do.
I hate to be controversial but if it helps more of those brilliant minds move from exploring and proving less practical number theories and into applications of numerical science to real-world problems, with AI as a supporting tool I think this is where the golden age begins.

It is like a vacuum cleaner.
What comes next? Are traffic lights connected to networks in this fashion?
Re:OpenAI withdraws three mathematical results on Thursday October 08, 2026 @04:40PM (#50011900)
There are quite serious misincentives here when OpenAI want a headline and then are done with it, leaving everyone else to mop up the mess.

If they want any credibility on these matters, they should be funding a lab of elite mathematicians and putting them to work alongside their own researchers to attempt to solve these properly within the realm of the community.

Propagating arse slop cannons onto social media and calling it a day is not that.

This is the thing. Anyone can one shot an app and accept what Claude does. But to go over every single feature where it gets it wrong, and actually get it to do the correct thing, over all of those tiny details in the program - that’s where the 3 days turns into a year and maybe 3.

There’s a major difference between a polished UI and a polished program.

The fact that a model can get this far is still impressive, and it will probably one shot the program properly in < 3 years.

All well and good but where can we install it now?
This should be downloadable.
What would you say is its key value proposition compared to other languages?
Vista came out after XP. They rushed 7 out after that.

I agree - they have not been good games. However, the fact that it is able to build and work with shaders effectively is promising - massive time saver and lowers the barrier to entry for people who need these capabilities without double majoring in advanced mathematics and computer science/game design.

One would hope it accelerates AR/VR - if decent studios finally get behind it.
