Just something I made up when promoting that EU should make CPU's . So its exactly what you say a merge of CPU and EU :-)
Re:European RISC-V Industrial Computing Initiative on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @01:40AM (#50348809)
CPEU is coming! I love RISC-V and have been following its progress for so long. I hope it gets more and more adoption in the world for desktops and servers. Its already massive in MCU's but we need it everywhere. Open ISA is the best ISA
Re:Enlightenment 0.28.0 Release on Sunday November 01, 2026 @11:46AM (#50327258)
I remember when this came out. It was so cool to see all effects and nice graphics. I did not even know it still existed. Either way great work and nice to see it back.
Re:HackerTube: YouTube built from videos recommended by HN on Sunday November 01, 2026 @04:45AM (#50324008)
Youtube has music and long form videos and shorts

They should have have a section only for non entertainment stuff. I don't want to see memes, funny videos . unless im in the mood for it .. I just want things I can learn from most of the time.

I just got started with https://www.onorca.dev and I like it, how is herdr.app different if anyone knows?
Re:Websites are closing their doors to AI agents on Sunday October 18, 2026 @02:30PM (#50143913)
We should create a human knowledge base for AI to train on that is completly open so everyone had access. Not just big corporations. Then adopt Ethical Acceleration. https://youtu.be/nV3tBWnZ4wg?si=UX2lKXXPZr01FXYi
Re:Anthropic revenue jumps to $16.8B in third quarter on Thursday October 15, 2026 @04:40AM (#50100937)
Im thinking of switching to Gemini 4 Argon. I believe google can beat anthropic. Especially since many google customers will have access to AI through their existing deals with google. Why get an extra subscription of gemini is as good or in some cases better.
Re:Theranos.World on Thursday October 08, 2026 @04:55PM (#50012126)
I spent way to much time with that :-D
Re:We are going to kill "unalive" on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @05:01PM (#49984095)
"Fuck the Algorithm" -- its just going to get worse. companies are afraid of the vocal minority. And by minority I mean a small group that complains a lot. They will continue to adjust the algorithm until no-one complain and the masses just slowly adapt and get censored more and more until it becomes the norm.

This is why im always sayin AI is already harming humanity. The censoring and the recommendation (engagement) algorithms are ANTI HUMANITY!

Re:Why Common Lisp Is Now the Best Programming Language on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @03:20AM (#49975290)
Typesystems prevents hallucination errors and also ads an extra guardrail for the AI to adjust to. Its sometimes hard for the AI and humans to know what types are expected. The compiler holds the AI:s hand
The ripple effects are going to be big. Its going to be rough for any company building products with RAM in it. People will hold on to what they got.
Re:Gemini 4 Argon on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @05:25PM (#49914680)
Gemini 3.8 Flash is suprisingly fast, how fast is Argon compared to the other frontier models? Does google have a performance edge?
Humanity is experimenting with AI and we do not have a single clue about the consequences for humanity and there is no way to stop it either. Im 100% convinced most people will be more stupid due to how humans are lazy by default.
Re:Google's Open Agentic Orchestrator on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @03:41AM (#49812860)
Yes perhaps easy refers to when actually using AX as a platform for deploying and managing agents, not actually installing and managing AX itself. I think it's awesome they targeted kubernetes but it's not easy from a human perspective. However with documentation and an AI assistant working with Kubernetes is so nice. I have worked with all the big clouds and Kubernetes a lot. But with AI it's so much faster and nicer to work with Kubernetes. It's so easy to debug and find issues in Kubernetes since the models know's Kubernetes so well. It quickly find issues and just fixes them. With the cloud deployment and changes are usually pretty slow and also it's sometimes tricky to debug if ex enough info isn't exposed. With Kubernetes every little atom is available for inspection by the AI.
Re:Ubuntu 26.10 completes transition to Rust-based coreutils on Monday September 14, 2026 @12:07PM (#49699250)
Better security, what's not to like. It's ridiculous to be against this in these times when we need all security we can get. So what if there is a minor incompatibility, can be fixe in no time. If we do a snapshot in time and count vounerabillities in the C codebase vs Rust im pretty sure who will have more in 5 years. It's just the nature of C codebases. C is a nice language but it was never designed with memory safety in mind. It was designed to be flexible and portable. It's a great language. Rust was designed to be fast and memory safe because it had 20+ years of C++ and C experience to learn from.
Re:We Must Pace the Frontier on Saturday September 12, 2026 @10:39AM (#49672775)
It's either being afraid of loosing to china or that model development will stagnate and they want to make it look like they are "slowing" down deliberately.

However the real reason to slow down is more of how it's introduced to the economy. Hypereautomation will kill jobs and destroy the economy. I work as an AI engineer and companies are delivering products at vibe coding speeds to kill jobs and at the same time automating internally. All companies are doing this at the same time and the target it sto eliminate workers.

Most people are so extremely slow to pick this up. How hard can it be to understand what hyperautomation does to the workforce? Companies are desperate to surrivive and they will do all it takes to lower their costs and at the same time not loose to competitors. Its Wild West out there.

Re:Agent Memory as a File Format on Monday August 31, 2026 @04:05PM (#49514278)
I don't use it. I chat about all kinds of random things and I don't want to risk memory that is irrelevant being injected in my random sessions.
Re:Playa Phone on Monday August 31, 2026 @02:48PM (#49513372)
0 outgoing, nobody knows numbers anymore and even if you could look it up you won't punch numbers like its 1992.

With that said, amazing project. super cool that people can call in

what are the potential consequences then
What, MTE is such a promising tech and for security and now that we need all security we can get. WTF this is terrible development. You cant go backwards when the world needs getting even more secure.
Does anything matter if it's illegal or not when it comes to the current government? This is not a flamewar im interested from a practical perspective if things like this has any effects at all in practice.
Re:Australia Bans Generative A.I. From Official Music Charts on Thursday August 27, 2026 @09:10AM (#49464356)
Have generative AI create the music and then become a cover artist for AI generated music. No one will notice. Lots of musicians are cover artists because perhaps they are skilled in their playing instruments and or singing but have a hard time coming up with good music. So instead let AI come up with the music and just copy it and make it yours.
