If a human cannot verify it then why should it get the highest possible level of trust?

That would be like investing in things one doesn't understand for themselves.

Only where the AI solution is verifiable by the dev doing the promoting and review. Cryptography is probably better served by libraries vetted by experts.

OT: Crazy that TZ-less are default in so many RDBMS. TZ included should be the default, and no-TZ opt in like TIMESTAMP NO TIME ZONE.
If there's enough interest to fill 4h of 3m speaking shots, maybe it deserves a direct vote by the people?

How far does it scale? Because I imagine there must be diminishing returns at some point. And even so, having a lot more renewable energy also means less cancer.
> however you implement it, yet "prompt injection" is hard to define.

Seems pretty easy to me. Any injection attack is an attempt to exploit technical weakness by injecting commands into data streams.

I think all the treks are heavily influenced by the culture in which they were made. All are trying to say something in a format that will be profitable.

The ones nerds glaze are the shows normies complain about. IMO because there is tension between what the mainstream wants from trek and what niches like ours want. That's ok. It just requires trying to understand the era of creation as much as the art itself.

Really because Spain and Norway did it through government interventions to guide markets.

We don't have to be slaves to unregulated markets or the oligarchs they naturally breed.

With oil prices rising, climate tech is still quietly advancing.

If accurate, I'd say "only about 30%" of each side having extreme views is quite concerning, regardless of anyone's perceptions.

Real differences in policy still matter:

Where can I read more about that evidence?

I am right now. Though perhaps not with GPU acceleration.

Firesticks are quite popular. I'd like to see what percentage in the wild actually does decode AV1 in hardware, and without stuttering or buffering problems. Even my newer devices sometimes choke on h265.
DOGE's mandate expired July 4th 2025.

It's absurd to argue the executive can intentionally delay and shuffle money earmarked specifically for certain purposes, like USAID. Why not just give the executive all power over the Treasury? Why have Congress at all?

Most DOGE activity was in 2025, no?
Best of luck in your travels.

I come from a faith culture where seeking mental healthcare is both a sign of weakness and lack of faith. Instead you must first pray it away. Meanwhile I'm surrounded by so many "professional" faith based councilors that it's hard to find providers who take religious trauma seriously.

Perhaps I'm misremembering then. I too did have an Intellisense mouse. So that may have been a factor. It's also possible I was thinking of focus follows mouse, which I believe is in TweakUI for Win95.

That is not my experience having gamed "seriously" since 1992. Everyone has different tastes. And besides folks over identifying with a console or platform, I recall most folks just trying a lot of different things then settling into what they enjoyed.

Sports games in particular have always been popular through many phases of low/no innovation because that just wasn't a priority to most of that demographic.

Your expectations remind me more of GameGate than 90s and oughts era gaming.

You can scroll without focus in Windows 95 with the Tweak toolkit from Microsoft.

Apparently folks in Virginia don't appreciate the disregard for zoning that is wildly transforming their neighborhoods.

Personally I'm YIMBY for more housing and other community services (grocery, community gardens, cafes, shopping). DCs are a whole different ballgame, essentially anti-human. DCs don't even produce that many jobs once they're built.

Please don't. Interstate 76 has a cute diner and repair shop aesthetic in the menus. But they went a step too far calling their saves bookmarks. It was hard to find as well. For a critical feature like saving and loading I'd prefer keeping it as simple and obvious as possible.
If Anthropic's business was as important to national security then it should be nationalized. As should SpaceX.
Re:Free Software Is a Failure on Saturday October 24, 2026 @07:20PM (#50226483)
It is a contradiction that FOSS relies so much on heavy handed copyright. I'd be open to shorter copyrights and letting the chips fall where they may.
Discs are increasingly rare for newer media. Therefore rips from them will be rarer on the high seas.

This was shocking to me as a gamer who loved Windows and had to use Mac. Rosetta helped for a while. Nowadays it feels like an intentional treadmill to purge any dev not willing to keep up.
