Upvote you and more!

I'm not going back to the office ever there's no need to.. the company I work for has experienced explosive growth since we went remote ..brought on and maintained 100 new hires.

If they try to force me I'll find something else!!

Cities are dying some cause of remote work but aren't we tired of the govt controlling our lives (Biden's remark of all remote workers must go back..ha lmao). Umm the solution is to innovate cities and offer programs for remote workers to come live there for three to six to 12 months ..have a startup that owns buildings in all cities for remote workers to live in and congregate as well let's them jump from town to town every many months. City living Innovation not more govt control/lame ideas is what is needed to spur the economies of cities and their future prosperity.

Exactly stop with the dumb idiotic politics were in a pandemic and even both sides are coming together (setting aside the stupidity) to focus on trying to defeat this virus.
It's all good I'm just telling my personal story (and results) in the hope it helps some ppl who are interested in doing more then nothing.

Changing your diet may work for others too while some it may not. You never know til you try and eating better is an overall good thing for the body.

In September I changed my diet and lifestyle...

Decreased extreme workouts that raise creatine, stopped/will not take any form of meds or pills, started drinking 3 liters of water daily and started cooking all my meals At home. My diet was horrible before ..no water, chic fil grilled chicken each morning and outback/bar food almost nightly. Though it wasn't fried bar food I cut that out long ago but food prepared by you is always going to be healthier then eating out.

So far my plant based renal doc and I are seeing positive results. Further I no longer have fluid build up when sitting for long periods.

I'm not a doctor just spreading the word as to what has helped me and tons of others. It may or may not work for everyone but eating healthier is something every being on the planet knows that's the best thing to do for overall good health. I can't see how it can hurt you to eat healthier, but again I'm not a doc.
Sure and each month I get labs done and review them with my renal doc. She advocates a plant based diet and has seen her clients stave off dialysis for over 20 years through diet. It took awhile to find such a doc as all others said there's no hope or nothing can be done..getting ready to decline further. Nope those docs were fired!
That's good to hear!

I have seen it work for 1000s in the Facebook group Natural Kidney Journey and across the Internet. Many success stories daily seen on that group match my positive results like your relative's same results.

Not sure why there is such downvoting going on about suggesting becoming more healthy to better your life and or at least try it to see if it works. Those who are highly negative are you saying a kidney patient who goes vegetarian or vegan is hurting themselves? Love to hear your thoughts!

Uhhh the numbers are what renal docs use to determine dialysis soon or now. Is that not right?

Cause what your saying above is the numbers don't matter? WHich contradicts all renal docs usage of the numbers!

Further yes my creatine is down and my eGFR is up, as well the fluid symptoms i suffered in 2019 are gone. My renal doc advocates plant based diets and has patients who has thwarted off dialysis for more then 20 years. Please tell me why I shouldn't follow all this data including from my primary care who advocates such diet change?

Why is this in the front page of HN?

Why does Silicon Valley celebrate thieves/theft to sociopathic behavior? Why is that accepted as its culture?

Why is this getting downvoted?

I was asking a question?

I just logged in with my other paul account(im paul7986 above) and this account has over 1k of karma points yet I am not seeing a vouch link.

How much karma do you have to have for the vouch link to appear?

Yeah but they showed new features in iMessage, the camera app and etc. all copycat ideas.

They could have built an AR feature into the camera app to show they are not just followers of all other companies who innovate they still are innovators. Further to showcase and get the masses excited about AR.

Re:Apple is struggling to become an AI powerhouse on Thursday June 08, 2017 @02:37PM (#14516127)
I have used Siri faithfully from 2011 til about the start of this year where I bought a google home.

Siri is flat out dumb and frustrating to use comparatively in terms of only understanding 85 percent of my queries vs. Google Home understanding 97 percent.

It seems to me Apple has not taken all their hordes of cash and used it to up the AI game. Looks like they are solely focused on the present while competitors are building the future in which they foolishly try to catch up with.

Like last weeks WWDC they debuted the AR kit but did not bother to create an amazing/innovate AR app to showcase and get the masses excited for AR and their possible upcoming AR gear.

Re:ARKit on Wednesday June 07, 2017 @12:48AM (#14503839)
It's just a 3D videogame and pardon I guess I'm missing the point of an AR video game vs. just sitting down and playing a 360 degree video game?
Yeah that's what I was saying.
Open the camera app and at the bottom click AR... an overlay appears with options like..

- Time Machine(idea noted above)

- Daylight View (if currently nighttime)

- and other AR apps devs or Apple creates.

Does not have to be exact and a real photo from that time in that spot or a tad far away and or an arial shot can be used to create renderings.
Hmmm but their actual camera app?

What will happen is a developer will build the app I mentioned above (could exist already) and then Apple will later build it into the camera app. I've never seen an app maker build functionality into any of the iPhone built in apps.

I thought we might be seeing an AR app built into the Camera or Map app.

Nope just a kit for developers to build games only or does the ARkit allow access to the camera app? I'm dying to see innovation from Apple like in the camera app when you open it there's an option to view how things look in the past(100 years ago what did this spot in New York City look like.. where you can take a pic of yourself in the past).

I'm sure there's oodles that can be done with an AR Camera.

Apple and the others to me seem to be slow to innovate.

Bank of America offers 2 way verification.
And that's someone we want as our next president????

Also, Obama was presidential and personally I never saw him act or show any megalomania. I want someone like that running this country not any of these horrible people we have now running!

Re:What's Lost When Most People Work from Home on Thursday October 08, 2015 @11:20PM (#10357967)
I love working from home because....

1. In an office full of fellow developers who I become friendly with I start to recruit them for my startup. Mostly my bosses(lol) which that never works out very well and I end up having to find another gig.

2. No traffic!!!

3. Work and get stuff done anytime of the day or night.

4. Work from anywhere there's an Internet connection.

5. No high school. ..bs office politics. Judged by your work only!

6. Wake up, roll over and start working...did I mention not having to deal with traffic?

Re:FAA Proposes Nearly $2M Fine Against Drone Operator on Wednesday October 07, 2015 @02:46AM (#10344556)
Fines? They should be held criminally liable if they were told repeatedly that their drone activity was endangering lives!
Re:Fifty on Thursday September 03, 2015 @11:29AM (#10165471)
I just turned 40 and whoa I've never felt such a drastic change previously, as ...

- Im starting to lose my hair

- I gained ten pounds a week or two after my birthday (lost it now after getting back to the gym); 5'10 178 now.

- I suddenly succumb to a foot disease older men have to deal with... it came and went, but could come back. WTH?

- Slight depression from all the above.

I want my 30s back!

Re:First Round 10 Year Project on Wednesday July 29, 2015 @06:24PM (#9971983)
How many minority non Ivy League startup founders did and have they funded?

The majority of their team consists of white guy ivy leaguers who have a penchant for funding their younger counterparts. No offense to first round as that is how the VC market looks and resembles

Until that goes away the diversity issue still stands.

We (SpeakerBlast) do something similar, but for live events; syncing audio and video across multiple/varied IP devices via a URL.

Here's a video where 50 ppl/devices are blasting audio in sync - https://vimeo.com/71647538

Here's a video where we sync audio to video; drive in movie app - https://vimeo.com/93899424

I use Siri daily to.....

- Send text messages (speaking punctuation like period/question mark helps accuracy, as well as breaking up thoughts by saying dot dot dot) in the car or if Im too lazy to type.

- Telling Siri to play whatever song while driving via Apple Music.

- Directions

- Weather reports

- Setting reminders

Overall I would say 30 to 40 percent of my friends/family use Siri or something similar. As more and more use Siri or Google Now, the accuracy will continue to improve to 100 percent and the percentage of those using will increase. In five to ten years Im guessing the majority will be using their voice assistant.

Re:Apple Music Is a Usability Nightmare on Tuesday June 30, 2015 @10:15PM (#9809691)
At least with Apple Music you can tell Siri to play X song while driving. With Spotify indeed you had to navigate through a maze of menus and there are many of us doing or were doing this while driving.

Siri's success rate when asking her to play X song or artist is pretty solid.
