How long did it take you to check the positions of all starts? :D
oh sad :(, hope they upstream it at some point.
I thought llamacpp didn't support images yet, has that changed or ollama is using a different library for this?
At least Google is still "usable" meanwhile Youtube search became the biggest piece of cr*p ever produced: "Shorts" "People like you also like this completely unrelated content" "Do you want results? haha, here you have home results as well".

Kinda sad because it was amazing before.

I see BE coding more and more in configuration files nowadays YMMV.
Re:Winamp Legacy player source code on Tuesday September 24, 2024 @10:50AM (#41637111)
man, at first glance doesnt look like a lot of work to add support to linux.
Isn't regression a basic AI? Most traditional ML algorithms are advanced regression models (how we draw the line/planes)
Re:Stripe's Monorepo Developer Environment on Monday August 19, 2024 @06:15AM (#41289627)
imo monorepos are great, but the tooling is not there, especially the open-sourced ones. Most companies using monorepos have their own tailored tools for it.
Re:GPUs Go Brrr on Monday May 13, 2024 @05:46AM (#40341377)
I really hope we see AI-PU (or with some other name, INT16PU, why not) for the consumer market sometime soon. Or been able to expand GPU memory using a pcie socket (not sure if technically possible).
prob getting some reputation in AI space will help them to sell watsonx. tbf, watson predates Transformers paper.
Re:The Snapdragon 855's iGPU on Thursday May 02, 2024 @11:03AM (#40237125)
I dont think. AMD is releasing a 256b width soon, we will how it performs.
Re:You won't find a technical co-founder on Tuesday April 02, 2024 @09:10AM (#39905347)
I think it was implied that OP has enough experience for those to be the minimal requirements so both bring the same value to the table.
tbf MS is not the "normal" in the aspect. They are pretty much the backwwrds-compatibility kings.
Re:Cranelift code generation comes to Rust on Monday March 18, 2024 @12:51PM (#39746842)
iirc Zig want to replace LLVM for similar reasons, also hard to debug.
Re:Uber to pay $272M to Australian taxi operators on Monday March 18, 2024 @07:33AM (#39742644)
In 90% of all countries really, most common scam ever. That is why travelers use Uber more than natives.
Re:macOS Sonoma 14.4 might break Java on your machine on Monday March 18, 2024 @07:23AM (#39742571)
Docker Desktop still sucks at least on my corp mac.
I like who OpenAI claimed they were not under MS control lol
Netflix app on my TV crashed when I plugged-in my usb headset :/
Re:Deno in 2023 on Monday February 05, 2024 @06:59AM (#39260290)
Agree. This feature just make it worse as a script language, which are supposed to have rapid development.
Re:Edge Detection for Image Processing on Friday January 12, 2024 @08:55AM (#38967947)
No really related, but I personally dislike GaussianBlur as the default noise removal method in all CV articles. In a lot of cases is more useful to filter by color (like BLACK letters in a white paper) otherwise bilateral filter (also available our of the box in OpenCV) usually works better especially if you want to do edge-detection (gaussian also blur edges). Yeah, GaussianBlur may be better performance-wise, but that is something you should consider if you real-time app is short of cpu-power.
What kind of recommendation is this? Either buy outdated stuff or buy something bigger while ignoring the thousands of minipcs models available?
Re:C and C++ Hot-Reload/Live Coding on Wednesday January 03, 2024 @12:52PM (#38857160)
Well... this sure looks better than my powershell script for hotreloading lol
Re:Linux hits nearly 4% desktop user share on Statcounter on Wednesday January 03, 2024 @10:06AM (#38854886)
Anecdotally, recently I tried to upgrade/update a PC (at my parent's house) running a 5 YO Manjaro build and was not possible. All mirrors dead, GPG keys server dead, broken dependencies, etc... I am far from a Linux expert but tried everything I could, sometimes checking 10 YO threads and ChatGPT. In the end I just installed Windows O o.
Re:Linux hits nearly 4% desktop user share on Statcounter on Wednesday January 03, 2024 @10:00AM (#38854824)
Do you have any source of that? I'd guess most of them just use a windows User Agent to avoid being flagged.
Re:Linux hits nearly 4% desktop user share on Statcounter on Wednesday January 03, 2024 @09:57AM (#38854784)
Chromebooks are quite amazing, sadly not native command line, not native IDEs (afaik) and usually very low on ram.
Using similar logic NYT should pay all actors involved in their articles.
Re:Where Is OpenCV 5? on Monday November 27, 2023 @07:48AM (#38431682)
Isn't C++ support quite minimal for both?
wait what? Any tutorial on how this works?
Problem is that console gamers are by default cheaters on FPS since all of them have aim-assist. If I were a competitive player I would be pissed off if a console player is higher in the ranking because of it.
