If you look at the trajectory of iPhone sales (others devices barely matter), its reaching a peak. As are smartphone sales in general.

Whats the point of discussing genetics and research?

Also, its not necessarily about inferiority or superiority, its a discussion of genetic difference amongst humans, which is interesting.

Re:Apple is building a demand-side platform on Thursday August 04, 2022 @10:34AM (#32343447)
No, they are beholden to the same rules they set in place.

I'm guessing it will be a more privacy focused platform.

not sure how carrying insurance is related to accident prevention, Its mandatory in both cases.

The amount of cases we charge people for accidents is extremely rare because in most cases its an actual accident. People swerving into oncoming traffic, not checking both sides before making a turn...etc.

Re:Glassdoor not so anonymous on Monday July 18, 2022 @11:47PM (#32147326)
I'm curious does it matter if its a previous employer? what could they possibly do?

If they really wanted to make a statement they would boot them from their platform.

Re:As TikTok grows, so does suspicion on Sunday July 10, 2022 @06:21PM (#32049713)
If you're looking at it from that perspective, tiktok should be the least of your worries. Currently The U.S. is entirely dependent on this "geopolitical threat" to survive. At least with tiktok its as simple as shutting down the app.

The U.S and China are entangled in ways you cant imagine.

Re:SpaceVim 2.0 on Wednesday July 06, 2022 @09:48PM (#32009074)
Version numbers don't really anything when comparing two projects.

Usually it actually means the maintainer is trying hard not to make breaking changes (bumping the version).

Re:What's New in CoreML on Saturday June 25, 2022 @02:22PM (#31877485)
People not understanding this is a joke lol......wait it is right?
I literally say DDG in my comment...
Its not the results I'm worried about with DDG, After all they just use bing behind the scenes anyways.

It's their deep financial ties to Microsoft thats worrying. And it seems they're willing to turn their back on privacy when Microsoft asks.

There's no irony, I was referring to his image in the media.
Re:GitHub Copilot is generally available on Tuesday June 21, 2022 @10:06PM (#31831293)
It doesnt seem like hes using copilot...
huh? what do you mean by this?
I think its also good for Mullvad, they push people towards the 1y plan instead. No one is going to put their payment info in every single month.
and a lot think hes the only person with common sense in the tech/business world.

I'd like to know though, what statement do you think is "embarrassing"?

He's at his lowest point in the eyes of the media (which is how most of us see the world) but hes actually at the highest point in his career and achievements.

Tesla is about to explode in production with their "biggest building in the world factory" in texas, berlin and china.

SpaceX is about to achieve the holy grail of the space industry (an affordable and reusable rocket) not to mention Starlink.
