The thing is, Kia does tell you what’s going on in some of their release notes, for example: https://owners.kia.com/us/en/ota-software-update-release-not...

However the very update that says it fixes the blank screen caused the blank screen to happen in the first place. (Never happened before that update.)

Then another silent update not listed on their site undoes that problem, but you have to wait a month or so to get it.

Kia just did this with their EV9 update - it broke CarPlay with a blank screen a few minutes into driving, which then reverted itself a minute later. Another OTA mostly resolved it. Neither of these updates explained what happened or what the fix was.

Probably because the nuclear family doesn’t include grandparents helping.

Yep, for home improvement and work on cars, I’ll take the video every time. Everything else, if only a video is available, I’ll ask Grok to summarize it so I don’t have to sit through it.

But last weekend I had to remove a trim panel under the hood of my car to extract a dead rodent, and I was wondering how to get those round clips off without breaking them. This video helped: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K_rsVDj5s1o&ra=m

The AI summary of the same video explains the exact steps but doesn’t show them actually being done.

Hmm, hasn’t been tame enough here for decades ..

We say “comparisons are the thief of joy”.
And they’re planning to charge 2.6 cents per mile, per https://wstc.wa.gov/studies-surveys/road-usage-charge/

So that’s $364 per year for 14k miles. Vs. the $225 currently paid as an electrification fee.

Was his name … Milton?
Wouldn’t it be easier to just train a camera with continuous recording at your bed?

Then correlate the time you woke up in your sleep log with the camera footage.

Apple needs to go a step beyond this and optionally automatically pick the best card to use based on your location to get the max cash back.
It wasn’t obvious where to add a virtual home button, so I’m adding instructions here:

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Assistive Touch

Is it just:

pnpm wxt build -b safari xcrun safari-web-extension-converter .output/safari-mv2

And that’s it? Or is there some hidden extra work involved.

How about a Safari/Mobile Safari extension so iPhone users can use it?
Social interaction while spatially reasoning also helps. (Social + cognitive load)

What about the old Studio Display?
I have a JavaScript share sheet shortcut that forces a select all on any page. Really useful.

Something like this:

var result = [];

body = document.body;

sel = window.getSelection(); range = document.createRange(); range.selectNodeContents(body); sel.removeAllRanges(); sel.addRange(range);

selString = sel.toString();

// Call completion to finish completion(selString);

Where do you block it? I don’t see an obvious option at any of my banks or that article.
Exactly. Also curious how the NY Times names the woman and the company reps but never names the rapist. This article does name him: https://www.nbcrightnow.com/online_features/press_releases/j...
Anyone know where you can buy the wall map shown on the page?
He says he bought all his own movies and tv shows on physical disc and ripped them for personal use.

He explains it in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ8ijmy3qPo and even shows some of his physical disc collection.

I don’t see it on mobile unless I turn off my ad blocking extension. Thank you! Never knew that was there.

Great video btw, two musicians with great communication and flow

With a lot of patience, you can also grow a chair. Check out the header image on https://www.pooktre.com

How do you "directly go to where most people go"? Assuming you don't have timestamps in the comments or video description.

I got a 2-pack of do-not-disturb doorknob hangers (similar to the ones in hotels) from Amazon for $10.

Worked great with my kids for 2 months. Then they got used to it and barged in anyway. The same would happen with this gadget.

Where can you find these service/warranty reports?
Does it run on the severed floor?
Re:Google to buy Wiz for $32B on Thursday March 20, 2025 @12:39AM (#43419932)
Nevermind, this looks like a different Wiz.
Re:Google to buy Wiz for $32B on Tuesday March 18, 2025 @02:45PM (#43403198)
Does this mean the Wiz app is now going to include free person category filters for their security cameras? Instead of constantly asking you to subscribe
In my twenties I played nethack (with the ascii tileset) in a terminal window while working. It only took my boss a couple weeks to catch on.

He was not happy.

Thank you! The latter test was exactly what I was looking for. I think the Purpose statement in the original (sans Nuanced) answer was kind of useful. That’s missing from the after scenario, though I suppose you could easily request it in your prompt though.
